6.5/10We had the Sunday lunch menu, Food was nice, staff good. The restaurant was pretty empty. Only issue was being told they do NOT take cash, when we came to pay. Very poor response, well its on our website! Not happy about that, my confirmation email did not mention this. Plus, you have to remember to register your car number plate at the kiosk at reception. Went in & out a few times from the restaurant to car park, with Christmas jumpers & gifts etc and the receptionist never mentioned this once, Would have been useful & good customer service, if they had just brought this to our guests attention There is a hefty fine, if you don't. Luckily we sorted it out before they drove off.

7.5/10As before the setting was very pleasant. However, some of the items we ordered were rather lackluster compared to our previous two visits. The service was also a bit slow even though there were not many other diners.

8/10Good value for money. The restaurant is excellently managed by Bay. The £19.95 Sunday Lunch is a three course menu with a choice of four dishes in each course.. Waiter service throughout with pleasant staff adds to the value. The food is good and the main course was served hot ( not always the case with many restaurants in my experience) and was very tasty. The restaurant is pleasant with well spaced tables set with good quality cutlery and snow white linen napkins. glassware and crockery all good quality Air conditioned throughout makes for a pleasant place to be.

6/10Food good but speed of service was extremely slow. Restaurant very empty and initial waiter had no urgency. I would not recommend the service

5/10Awful awful food. Really overpriced rubbish. Rubbish food jazzed up with a bit of rocket. Had the wagyu steak. Was dry. Think the chef needs to go back to cooking school. Had the tagliatelle carbonara. Wasn't tagliatelle it was spaghetti ????.

10/10It was a little treat for my parents anniversary. They reported back saying they had a really lovely time. Service was excellent. Kind and friendly staff made their experience immensely enjoyable. They were even treated to a complimentary glass of Fizzy. What more could you ask for. A huge thank you to the team at Weetwood !

10/10We love going to The Convive Restaurant for Sunday Lunch. The service is always first class, the restaurant itself is beautifully presented and the food is always excellent. It is a limited Sunday Lunch Menu for £19.95; all beautifully prepared, exceptionally tasty and not over -facing...there is enough to satisfy most appetites. Over the last year we have used The Convive Restaurant to celebrate our our 50th Anniversary with groups of friends; we have never been disappointed.

9/10We had the 3 course Sunday Lunch in Convive. The service was excellent, staff were welcoming and polite. The restaurant was clean and tidy and we weren't rushed between courses which gave us time to chat. We would have liked a little more veg but we like our veg so down to personal preference. We prefer veg served in turines, with gravy in jugs again personal preference but overall had a good meal.

2.5/10The restaurant at first view looks very classy. However we got ushered to a table that’s was half in the restaurant and half out I was sat in the restaurant side my husband sat adjacent to a corridor. The place was very poorly lit with no windows ! On the booking form it asked for any special requests, the example was “ next to a window “ as it was a rather warm evening and the grounds looked beautiful so I did request a table near a window. There wasn’t any !! We didn’t bother with a starter as the choice was to say the least dire. The menu isn’t much better it is very limited and very over priced. My husband is a steak lover and say the only steak they did was wagyu steak it was £31.50. He was hesitant to order it but there was literally nothing else he liked, plus it was our first weekend away in ages. It sounded like it came all singing and dancing so he ordered it. I had a southern fried chicken burger it was around £20 but thought well it’s got to be better than a normal pub meal burger. How wrong was I ! After what seemed like an eternity the food arrived. The burger was smaller than a kid burger meal at MC Donald’s ! The chicken was almost chargrilled edges were black it came with a small cup of fries and nothing else ! My husbands steak was equally disappointing but of steak and a few pieces of rocket 1 small tomato ( cherry ) with a drizzle of oil. Was also ordered a side of garlic bread which was literally the size of half a slice of bread lol. We decided to have desert as we were both still rather hungry after the poor meal we had just had. My husband ordered chocolate brownie with ice cream, I ordered the cheesecake with fresh raspberries. I almost laughed out loud when these arrived. The ice cream on my husbands brownies was bigger than the brownie itself and my cheesecake was the width of a finger ! To say we were totally disappointed was an understatement. I had a large house white wine and my husband had a pint of Stella. The bill was 4p short of £100 ! I was mortified and angry at such prices for a dimly lit side room with slow service and very poor menu and food. There was a rather large family to our left who were lovely but the whole meal was spent listening to there 2 year old running between there table and ours screaming then watching the child race round the bar area being chased by the dad. Overall a very over priced and under whelming evening ! This restaurant is no better than a normal pub daytime meal. I wish we had gone over the the stables and just had pizza I think that would have been more substantial. Then again who knows

5/10Not the restaurants fault but as the only people in a pretty clinical space, not a lot of fun. Would not have gone if had known we were solo in the restaurant.
