Fabulous
Not much gluten free options on sweets. Salad with lamb was a slice of tomato. Bread was a little hard. Other than that lovely evening and atmosphere.
Great find, clearly entrepreneurial business trying very hard to stay open and provide great service and safety. The food was loved by all (although I was hoping the smoked trout would be slices rather than mashed). The steaks were the best I ever had and bringing your own wine is just an amazing bonus. Lovely place lovely staff fantastic food
Lovely setting. Staff were fantastic. Food delicious. Easy parking. Service very good and timely too. Will return another time even when the govt scheme has stopped.
The food was good the atmosphere and setting excellent but a waitress who is inpatient and bangs the food down on the table is not what we expected.
Four of us a lovely afternoon tea. The food was soo nice and very filling. The staff were very attentive but at the same time not over the top. The cowshed was very busy but we were not rushed, we had a wonderful relaxing afternoon tea.
Took 2 friends for afternoon tea. I've been before and wasn't disappointed. Nice to have little savouries as well as finger sandwiches. Scones were delicious as were the cakes and we took the ones we didn't have room for home with us!! Choice of teas is good and we were offered coffee if we preferred. Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive.
Absolutely beautiful meal, steak was cooked to perfection. My wife was also very complimentary with her fish main meal A lovely experience had by all.
Disappointing, booked afternoon tea for my 84yr old parents anniversary, the service was slow, took 15mins for tea to arrive, then another long wait for the food. The sandwiches were stale as if they had been prepared and sat out for a few hrs. The quiche & tiny jacket potatoe were stone cold. The scones were ok. Luckily enough I treat my parents to afternoon tea a few times a year, so we know what to expect, unfortunately the afternoon tea here was a let down and wasn't worth the money. Especially when you can travel a little further to Sopwell House in St Albans, or the Laura Ashley Hotel near Watford. And at both Sopwell House & Laura Ashley Hotel they top your tea up & give you extra sandwiches and cakes. I wouldn't recommend Trewin Farm afternoon tea. If they can't get this right I hate to think what lunch or dinner be like.
Absolutely loved the experience and food was stunning. Would highly recommend.
The service was outstanding, the food was good . And the restaurant has a really nice welcoming feel to it. We could take our time and never felt rushed.
Afternoon tea was fabulous! Great location, great staff! Will definitely return soon
The tea timers were a good little touch. The sandwiches were very tasty, could have eaten more. I loved the extra plate of savouries, that was a wonderful extra touch. The champagne was lovely. The price was excellent.
Had the champagne afternoon tea. Lovely decor inside, friendly service, well organised and everything timed well, and the afternoon tea itself was probably one of the best we've ever had, gorgeous scones and pastries. Some real craftsmanship had gone into the little sweet pastries. I liked that we were expected and the table had been set out for our arrival. Overall the occasion felt like a treat, but without being too formal. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend hence five stars for everything :)
Afternoon tea was fabulous. Great choice of sweet and savoury. Extremely fresh and tasty
We could not fault any thing ,the food was excellent as was the service.the staff were wonderful and very polite .and they looked after all your needs with out being a pain.we liked it very much ,we will be coming again and we will be recommend it to friends and family
Afternoon tea was excellent took my mum for her 81st birthday lovely afternoon
The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed and the food and drinks offer was great. However, it did take an hour for our afternoon tea to come out, which one of the staff told us was due to dietary requirements but we had given our requirements 5 days in advance and we arrived at the pre-booked time slot so it should have been a case of just bringing the trays out to us...
Good food but service was poor.
Afternoon tea for two - well what can I say - FANTASTIC, staff friendly, approachable. The afternoon tea was fantastic. Thank you so much for making the afternoon enjoyable. Even could have as many pots of tea that we could get though. Will be coming again.
I took my wife for an afternoon tea for her birthday. We were very impressed. Lovely surroundings and the food was really good. We would definitely like to return.
