Always such a lovely place to visit, me & my husband have been many times usually for breakfast , inside the bar is so unique with cosy little alcoves but outside is also lovely with the special touch of the live music performers.

From the moment we arrived it was clear that the restaurant didn't have our booking and they looked unprepared to accommodate us. However, I had my booking confirmation and they managed to find us a table and serve us the Afternoon Tea we booked. The staff who ended up looking after us were really nice and explained everything well. The food was OK, the scones were amazing as well as the macaroons, but the sandwiches weren't my cup of tea, I felt like they lacked in flavour. Our table was in a corner not too far from the door, which was always open, so we could never get properly warm. Not what you want on a freezing winter day.

The location of the Crusting Pipe is just perfect at any time of the day - you feel as though you are right in the centre of the magic of Covent Garden. The musicians are an added bonus!

Nothing except the nuts and the cloudy apple drink. We waited along time for the food to be served; the sausage and mash was served and removed because there was a delay in serving the haddock dish was delayed. Eventually the food was served without much of an apology we will never go there in future. Poor value for money

We had a very nice meal with seven people after booking a table with The Fork. Changes to the meals were not an issue and the waiter was very informative in terms of allergies and how meals could be prepared. Very accommodating! The salmon was delicious and fresh, as was the Sunday roast.

Food was great! Service poor, we were sat outside which was lovely but incredibly busy! 4 tables were served before us even though they were seated after us. We had to ask 3 times to order food and drinks. Service charge shouldn’t automatically be applied for poor service it should be down to the customers discretion to leave a tip based on the service received. I witnessed customers walk away due to rudeness and poor service from foh staff

The place was a bit hard to find but the afternoon tea well worth the trouble! Everything was delicious, selection of teas short and service very good. There was live music played outside, which was nice or terrible depending on who was playing (we liked the classical music better).

Went for afternoon tea very disappointed my friend from America does not drink tea so when I asked if she could have coffee the waitress was not impressed. The scones were not home made and very small ( the smallest I have ever had on an afternoon tea) the sandwiches were ok but the top layer of very small desserts were also disappointed. For the price I have had a lot better. The older lady came a crossed rude and was rushing us out the door

Lovely food but it's a shame that when I booked it was quote £32.00 as the option that I booked and then we were told it was £37.50. We showed a screenshot of the booking on the Fork but the manager had said it had never been at that price. Random. He said they had just raised their prices and would give us it at £35 but that's still not what we booked. Nice afternoon but that was more due to the company and it just becomes a bit annoying when you have to sort things out like that when you're out for someone's birthday. Won't go again.

Lovely food and beautiful location but the service was disappointing. We asked for tap water which never arrived and had to ask multiple times for our bill. In the end, we had to stand up near the exit before someone assisted us in paying our bill, something we did not do to be rude but because we had to leave for the theatre and we had first asked for the bill 10 minutes previously. The server who helped us pay our bill tutted and shook his head at us (presumably for standing near the exit). We tried to be very polite throughout but we needed to pay and had left enough time to do so when we first asked for our bill.

We had a traditional English tea at the Crusting Pipe before seeing a show at a nearby theater. Our experience surpassed all expectations. Our server, whose name I unfortunately cannot remember, was wonderful. He explained about the restaurant's location, in underground tunnels that were used during WWII, and told us other bits of trivia about London, past and present. In addition, he is studying to be a Sommelier and was able to discuss the differences between the sparkling wine produced in the UK and Champagne. We chose the sparkling wine and were not disappointed. The food was excellent, and had we been staying in London longer, we would have returned to enjoy dinner because the menu is so tempting.

First time I've been for years - always used to meet my sister a the Crusting.......we live miles apart and it's a good place to eat. I loved the food and wine consumed before our matinee BUT the service was very slow. We had to catch a waitress to ask to order. Busy ....yes, but there was no apology. We were going to have coffee after, but ran out of time....paid the bill quick and left. Yes, I'd return BUT the service needs to improve.
