We returned to Danson Stables Bexley Heath having previously enjoyed an afternoon tea there. On this occasion, service at the counter and at our table was very slow. When the food did arrive after some 30 minutes, it was luke warm and did not reflect the description on the menu. The fish ciabatta sandwich was missing certain elements and was particularly disappointing. Based on this experience, we won't be rushing back.

Need more staff. Table was sticky. Cauliflower cheese was terrible. Lamb shank was good. Not sure dogs should allowed. Had a bit of barking while dining.

Excellent table service. Cheerful staff. Clean and spacious seating arrangements. We were a large group of 11 people but all food served in good time. Quality varied menu with sensibly priced food. Pity that the wifi didn't work well enough for us to use the app the order the food. Prices applied individually. Beautiful place in the centre of Danson park. Ample free parking (on the day we visited). Will definitely visit again.

Sunday roast was reasonably priced. Vegetables was extremely hard to the extend the broccoli was raw. It was ok nothing great.

The restaurant is located in the middle of the Danson Park, provides quite a few parking slot and with a huge playground at the front step. It's excellent location for young family to enjoy the food and the kids enjoy their play. Also this restaurant is dog friendly, loads of people bring along their dogs... Nice ambience and will love to go there again.

Staff were really friendly, we ordered sandwiches at the same time, but 2 of them came half an hour after the first 2. The caramelised onions were in a thickened liquid looked like cornflour, so the texture of caramelised onions wasn't there. We've eaten here too many times now, only here because we can walk the dogs and meet family on a stop off during a long journey home to Lincolnshire from the Kent Coast and haven't been happy with the same problems every time. We decided today, no more, we will travel further if needs be to find somewhere with decent food

We 4 friends had a meal there, 2 were sick and couldn't attend. The vegetarian pasta dish that was served up to my two friends had not been cooked at all, it was raw, freezing cold on top of a bed of salad. It had obviously been taken out of the freezer and left to refrost, and the kitchen staff just put it on the dish of salad and served it.... This was absolutely deplorable, it was crunchy. It was sent back and then cooked and then served again...not tasty at all even when it arrived. Myself and other friend had the burgers, the bun on one was burnt black and they still served it up, this was sent back also and another bun replaced. Nice chips. My bun was slightly burnt, but I ate it, as we had to wait so long and none of us eat together, we couldn't wait to eat until the others food was brought back from the kitchen. On top of that there were 4 dogs in the bar and barking at each other all the time we were there, so much we could hardly hear ourselves think, very selfish dog owners, they should have left so people could eat therir meal in peace. this was 8pm - 10pm in the evening. The ice cream sundae was nice and the apple crumble also though. Beware there are always loads of dogs in there and the whole bar area echos, so it's really loud.

Restaurant was not full as was a Monday night, waited ages for starters has to speak to barman to see where there were. Then waited ages for mains. Food quite nice but plates were not cleared away and still on table when we left.

So disappointed with our visit this evening there was a wedding reception and another function so we had limited seating options and were next to the kitchen with lots of guests constantly walking through to the bar. A band playing which meant we couldn’t hear each other speaking, no service available for our table, food order got messed up and the food overall wasn’t great, it was dry and cold. The small discount we had doesn’t make up for the totally ruined celebration we had. They should have been closed for general public food service and shouldn’t have taken bookings. Clearly couldn’t cope with the number of people. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

I was told twice my choice of food was not available (I’m a vegetarian and choice limited anyway) when I finally placed an order they got it wrong. By the time it was rectified my friends had finished their meal. The staff was really nice but you can tell they are quite understaffed.

The food was good and the staff very pleasant and welcoming .Unfortunately we chose a lunchtime when mothers and babies were in and the children were very noisy .On another occassion we were sat close to a dog that barked really loud for food. Although this is not your fault could a separate area be set aside for people with their dogs.

I met some friends for a late breakfast, who have three babies under 1 between them. I took my grandson who is 2.5 years. His chicken goujons and chips were superb - I would have been very happy to have it for my lunch. The chicken was lovely and tender and the chips perfectly cooked. I had the smashed avocado and poached egg on toast which was also lovely. There was a bit of a wait for hot drinks to be made due to a lack of staff, but it didn't detract from our enjoyment and we would definitely go to the Stables again.

Unfortunately after taking the trouble to book the table the waitress couldn’t find the booking. However she seated us at a reserved table for 3 (as per booking !). I had scampi and chips. The scampi was ok but the chips inedible as they weren’t properly cooked. The restaurant was packed with barking dogs and many crying babies. I understand the need for profit but I personally would not recommend the Stables. It wouldn’t be so bad if the food was good.

The food was good and the waitress was very welcoming and attentive. She really went out of her way to make sure we were happy. The stables itself needs a bit of renovation and a kick of paint, but overall it was really nice.

Confusion from staff when trying to locate my reservation. There was an event at the time and was sat next to a door that was banging loudly constantly. Children left running around unattended which made it hard to enjoy the ambience and hold a good conversation. Also had to wait a long time before being served at the bar. Others who approached the bar were being served first which was disappointing. It was my first visit since the refit, and I have been left rather disappointed.
