De Royal Chophouse

We had dinner at "De royal chophouse" and were seated at the window next to the street. The seats and the tables are comfortable and the atmoshpere is classy and decent. We ordered chicken wings and Nachos for starters. The chicken wings were coocked as you would expect but the Nachos were a little below my expectations given the price. It shows that it's not their speciality. The steak that we got served was New Zealand Filet and it was truly excellent. Very tender and accompanied by a delicious pepper sauce. The fries and asparagus where good albeit not excellent with decent portions. The baked potato was really good. The desserts were tasty and plentifull. The wine selection was excellent and not too pricy, the wine was even decantated for us. The overal service was very good and personal.

New Zeeland beefsteak is best here. Enjoy French fries, Carpaccio classic, Chicken wings & Chocolate Mousse near to Vondelpark. Very nice location.

The restaurant was near a park which i loved. I had the salmon with french fries and it was delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked. As dessert i had the apple pie and it was magnificent. Warm, soft, delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Had a really nice meal on monday afternoon. Incredible steak with frites and the most delicious peppercorn sauce I ever had! The chef's specialty Dutch fillet is a good recommendation and they have a great selection of fine wines!

Very excellent food and excellent service top quality meat tenderloin and sides are also perfect grill mushrooms and spinach . Highly recommend fantastic evenin gwe will be back again

Trally good steak restaurant would recommend. Friendly efficient good selection. Good wine menu, all in all well worth a visit if in Amsterdam

It was my husband’s birthday and we get everything we expected. Delicious food, perfect service and atmosphere. At the end they brought cake with birthday candles, it was so nice

Excellent meat, great advice and perfect service

The food was excellent despite getting our order wrong. The service obviously is responsible to get the right sauce with the correctly cooked steak and both were cooked wrong and incorrect sauces given. Scallops were excellent. The atmosphere was not helped by the fact we were cold and the maitre’d would hold the door open for people to leave and because of where we sat it was incredibly cold. Thank you anyway though

Scallops like rubber and not very much taste. Steak average nothing special. Service was very slow. (Was 2 big partys) girlfriends meal was just average as well.

I chose this restaurants because it was rated as first restaurant for steaks in Amsterdam at Tripadvisor. My experience after the dinner is that this is a good standard steak restaurant but nothing special. I am sure that there are some or even many steak restaurants in Amsterdam that have better quality and even better value for money.

Amazing service, I rang a few days prior to my booking requesting a surprise cake for my wife’s 25th birthday, and they didn’t disappoint as they where bringing the cake out they had happy birthday song playing loud and everyone was singing. Let’s just say my wife was as red as the strawberry on the cake ????. Thanks to all the staff

This restaurant was absolutely lovely. First of all the steak was delicious. The service was excellent and the staff are all absolutely lovely. It was my boyfriends birthday and they really went above and beyond. If it wasn’t for the fact that we live in England I’d be a regular customer. I had the best time
