We enjoyed our time at Din Tai Fung from the very start till the very end. The food was divine. The plates kept on getting better and better with each plate. We however would not recommend their dessert. Buy more savoury dumplings or gyoza instead!
I love how they kept asking me if I have been to Ding Tai Fung. This was my first time in DTF UK but been to LA, HK, SHA, SING, and TP. Lovely their service and dumplings as usual. The menu is slightly different in the UK than it is in other countries. They had this egg custard bun, which is a typical dim sum, but not as good as a normal dim sum restaurant in Hong Kong. Should have just stuck with what they do best, which is Xiao Long Bao. Nevertheless, LOVE my DTF!
Very nice atmosphere, great cleanliness and nice music. Food is excellent, we tried bao, fried squid and other gyozas and they were all cooked to perfection and freshly made. The service was on point. Overall a really pleasant experience. I chose this restaurant for a special occasion and it didn’t disappoint. I’ll come back.
I don't get why ppl used to queue. Oh well, now I know i was not missing anything especial. Regarding the table set up, awful for covid19. We were all squeeze in one part of the restaurant while other parts were empty. What is the point that i couldn't go with my friends due to new covid restrictions but i was sitting with 50 other ppl and with tables next to each other while the entrance area and downstairs were completely empty. What is the point?
Really good food! Been here several times and it’s been very stably good!
Staff was super welcoming and polite. Amazing first impression of the restaurant and quality of service. Love the service overall. Food on the other hand was not up to mark compared to din tai Fung in other countries like Taiwan, Singapore and malaysia. The Zhao lung bao pork filling was tough and chewy unlike other stores in Asia where it would melt in your mouth disappointing. Needs to use better quality meat !!
The service was super nice and food as well. Love to come back soon.
Food was amazing. Staff very friendly. Felt very safe with the COVID restrictions.
We are in love with pork dumplings ????
WE have been to Din Tai Fung in many different countries, and found it to almost always be good food, although the atmosphere differs greatly. This shop has a beautiful space, friendly and helpful staff and a great atmosphere. The only disappointment was that almost all of the food arrived lukewarm. The shrimp/pork dumplings were very hot, and the pork cutlet was very hot. The rest (even the soup and the trademark xiao long bao) were merely warm. This was disappointing, but everything tasted great nonetheless.
Good food and the lava buns are to die for. Service was fast and friendly. Tables were slightly too close to each other for our liking.
It was great, food was delicious. But odd to order and pay everything on the app- difficult to split the bill. But was very easy and could order food in stages.
We love eating at DTF! Has great customer service and the food is good. This year we chose it for our wedding anniversary as so far it has been the only restaurant in London that has all staff wearing masks and they are very well prepared with all the other social distancing regulations.
The best food and the best service, congratulations for the best team and for professionalism. Thank you so much and see you next time for sure! ????
Food is as expected: good. No effort made by restaurant to acknowledge our two year old’s birthday, which was disappointing
I felt very tempted to tell the supervisor that before she was born I qualified as an IT analyst and worked for IBM. She decided that we looked too old for the QR menu and suggested the traditional one. It all went wrong. 45 minutes later we were still waiting for food and drink! The kitchen ignored the order...but at least they didn't charge for the tea! Anyway my lesson, put the glasses on and chec the online menu next time
I had been to this restaurant before and the service was good. I noticed that they are still trying to iron out the kinks of getting used to the new online ordering system. Our food arrived very sporadically and had to chase up a couple of the starters that would have arrived after the mains had we not followed up. The food is unparalleled, so it was worth the wait but like anyone, don’t want to have to follow up on orders.
The food was mindblowing. The soup dumplings especially. We may go back again today, the next day, because I can’t get them out of my head. Also the staff were very quick and friendly!
Excellent location in Covent Garden - staff keen to assist , ordering via scanning a QR code to make it more Covid safe - great food, fantastic flavours - an excellent lunch spot.
Reception woman who showed us to the table did not explain that menu order can be done on app or ordinary service and we were left struggling with the app which was not user friendly. No one came back to check if we were able to order. In the end we had to get up to ask for help. Very let down with the poor service.
