We ordered two sushimi bento boxes. The taste just like a normal London style Japanese food, Average quality. There’s no discount offer when we check the bill. The waitress even didn’t know the restaurant provide this discount offer. She took my phone away to the manager who is in the basement. The manager said the offer cannot apply in bento boxes and we finally paid in full price. However, The menus and the app doesn’t mention which food is not applied the discount offer. Somehow like we are being cheated.

Hi Kim I am terribly sorry for the delayed reply. I am really sorry to read this reviewand disappointed that you had a bad experience with us. Please be assured that we take everything into account and will speak to staff about this as we're always trying to improve our service. As for the discounts it state that lunch time and set and drink is not part of the discounts. As for quality we do use the fresh fish as much as possible. We have fish delivered from fish market every morning we do maintain very high quality of fresh fish. As for the price we do try to keep it as low cost as possible. We are very sorry we did not match your expectations of price. For sashimi bento it comes 4 salmon sashimi, 4tuna sashimi, 4seabass sashimi, 4salmon nigiri 3 salmon maki miso soup,salad and steam rice for 23.00 not many London restaurants have this price with this amount of and quality of food in London. Amazing and very delicious food! We tried the Mixed Tempura Bento Box, Sushi Lover Sushi Set, Edamame, and Mixed Sashimi (15 slices chef selection) and everything was very tasty and fresh. Great value, reasonable prices, and most importantly: the hostess was so incredibly nice and patient. She made our visit so enjoyable and memorable! We didn't get her name, but we hope the owners let her know how much we value our experience at Doumo because of her.

A good find. Food is great - sushi and sashimi are fresh. The best deep fried soft shell crab I tasted recently. Friendly and helpful staff. Both dining area and toilet are clean.

Great attentive service, a really nice little restaurant. The sushi dishes were great, super fresh and rival any top Japanese restaurant. The other hot dishes were nice (Beef, Chicken) but the meat quality wasn't top notch and I didn't enjoy as much. It's a little quiet and intimate but doesn't detract much from the experience. Absolutely worth a visit for authentic, delicious food and the Fork offer helped.
