When we arrived we were told there was not a booking for us even though it was confirmed ! We were told it’s luck of the draw when you book through the fork as this does not guarantee you a table as the fork does not have access to the Dukes Head booking service - I questioned this as was not satisfied with this reason , We were reluctantly given a table but the whole meal experience made us feel horrible and consequently did not enjoy the meal .

We have been here a few times for Sunday lunch and always enjoy a great meal and service hence why we return. Table given was at the front of the pub and served promptly by Max. Pleasant pub restaurant, will return again!

Really enjoyed our time at The Dukes Head, Billericay today. There has been a refurb since we last visited. Love the new decor. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great. A good varied menu. We shall be returning.

Lovely local pub restaurant. The menu was simple, small but varied and caters to many tastes. The location is scenic and we sat outside in a garden with tables well spaced apart. The food ordering was by app and problem free. Sensible but not over the top covid controls were in place. The food arrived in good time, was well presented, of high quality and was hot. Drinks were accurate and served quickly. The staff were friendly. and professional. Reasonably priced. It was also easy to park.

This restaurant was decorated beautifully. The staff were excellent. I ordered the battered fish, chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce. However although the fish looked good and the batter was excellent the fish just tasted of nothing. I know my fish and would have got more taste from a Birdseye fishfinger. My friend enjoyed her fish cakes but I was really disappointed. I didn’t complain because if that’s the fish they use another piece would have tasted the same. Pity as I would loved to have enjoyed it..

Great chilled atmosphere on patio. App would work to order food at first which was a pain when starving, but quickly resolved and service was amazing

Quite disappointed that we were not informed that there were no roast dinners available until after we had sat down and bought a round of drinks. Service was slow between courses and twice was forgotten after ordering more drinks.
