5/10We have been eating at the original Efes for over 40 years and unfortunately this restaurant doesn’t meet up to their standards. The quality of the meat was poor and overcooked. Chicken was very dry and ribs were not as expected. Serving staff were inexperienced to the point where one dish wasn’t what we ordered! Rose wine was of poor quality and harsh taste. Such a shame.

8.5/10We were a big table (11 people) for a late lunch on Sunday in mid December. Good food, courteous staff, relaxed atmosphere, no-one tried to force us out after the meal (we stayed for 3 hours), good value food and wine. The only way I think they could improve would be to have a wider selection of Turkish wine rather than just the usual house white and red (there are so many wonderful Turkish wines to try!).

10/10The service and attention to detail by the staff was exceptional. Great food and ambience. Hadn't visited for about 20 years since we lived in London and was as good as ever. It was my wife's birthday and the manager immediately provided a cake and candles to accompanying music which was a lovely touch.

I recently visited Efes and was blown away by their authentic Turkish kebabs. The mixed grill, featuring lamb, chicken, and beef kebabs, was perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. The freshly baked pita bread and flavorful side dishes like hummus and tzatziki were delightful complements. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant’s cozy atmosphere and tasteful décor added to the overall experience. To finish, the baklava was a perfect sweet treat. In short, Efes offers delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming ambiance. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Turkish cuisine.
