I haven’t been here for many years and remember being wowed when I went then, but felt underwhelmed on this occasion. I wanted to like it more, as it has a lot of charm and the staff are really nice. But I didn’t think the food was anything special - for example the garlic king prawns were lacking in flavour served in a dish of olive oil, and there were only 3 each. The interior feels a bit dated and tired. Positives were fast, friendly seevice and good wine (white Rioja)

My friend uses a stick, she has back and mobility issues. We moved from the first table as it was low and uncomfortable - mainly I did not like the lighting. The next table was more cosy but my friend said she was uncomfortable at the end of dinner. The food was nice, but I hate to say I have had better. The service was nice, someone was in training - dishes were put on the table without explanation and my friend needed to understand what she could and couldn't eat because her diet only allows halal meat. Overall, we were happy as we received the discount but if we had paid full price I don't think we would return, sadly.

So disappointed to discover how much this place has changed. It used to be so charming with incredible food. Food served super quick but of such poor quality. Everything from quality of ingredients to balance of flavours. Very oily and bland. I would love to read that the owners/chef have turned it around as it used to be so wonderful.

Wonderful food and wonderful service, we were welcomed as old friends (true) but lovely. Can't fault it, superb.
