5.5/10The staff of young people professional and courteous. The food was to a good standard but the curry goat was too peppery for me. The restaurant it self really needs a makeover it is outdated and needs decorating throughout.

my partner and I had oxtail tail we both enjoyed it but thought meat could more tender. the cocktails were very good but we felt the rum cake desert were too small. the service was good the waiters were very friendly.

10/10Wonderful vibe form the moment I entered through the door . Lovely Atmosphere, outstanding staff, Leo and the lovely Polish guy are so professional and kind and really look after us ! Food is delicious , we ordered halloumi fries , saltfish fritters , vegetarian curry and oxtail which were incredibly tasty and very generous portions. Mocktails pina colada was soooo tasty and refreshing ! I absolutely recommend this place ,staff, music , deco , atmosphere is fantastic Thank you so much

7/10The Jerk & Chips were very tasty. The curry Goat not that nice, rather tough with the meat sticking on the bone and quite expensive : 22.50 £. The waiter was friendly. We got the discount but we would have liked to use the yums instead. The fork told me afterwards that there's a limit. A certain number of clients can use the yums and then it stops. We didn't know that. We'll try probably that restaurant once again.

10/10I went to this restaurant to celebrate my mother and brother’s birthday. The food was absolutely amazing, flavoursome and such a good size. The customer service was wonderful and the waiter was super attentive and excellently communicated with us. I will definitely be back here.

5/10Me and my partner went to your restaurant on Saturday 2nd November. We went there to celebrate his birthday on entering the restaurant. The decor needs to be redone. Tables need to have white tablecloth glasses that was on the table was plastic and was dirty. No flowers on the table no salt no pepper not even a candle. We have been there before for my birthday food was lovely but this time food wasn’t up to standards. Oxtail was too black had the browning taste, not good. Coleslaw wasn’t nice at all and the rice and peas was not cooked properly. The whole place needs to be decorated quality decor tables are too small toilet terrible need to pay attention managers please quality quality quality do not drop your standards. Please please decorate the place. Make it a little bit more classy for the money that customers have to pay your not a cafe. Also, the staff have their uniform, but they should be wearing half aprons for a little bit more class. Please hear what say. Thank you

8.5/10The staff are polite patient and amenable. The food was good and the atmosphere satisfactory. The toilets were poor and let the venue down. I will visit again but would encourage the management team to pay more attention to the facilities. Sonia

10/10Delicious cocktails (made better by a 6-9pm 2-4-1 happy hour) accompanied some perfectly cooked, outstanding authentic Caribbean cuisine. The staff were very helpful and friendly and there was some lovely Zumba dancing happening that evening which inspired a little impromptu dancing of our own. A very fun night indeed. 😊

6/10Service was good. The price didn't match what was on the online menu. The Jerk Chicken, rice and peas jumped from £13 to £19.99 for a small thigh, drumstick and dried out, clumpy rice. In a barbecue sauce. So disappointing, I have had jerk in 4 Caribbean islands, as well as making it from scratch with my family. This was not jerk. Dried out strip of chicken in my daughter's burger, plus crunchy (?) dumplings. Flat Diet Coke. Not an experience I would like to replicate. Gave it a try. Thanks to The Fork, I didn't have to pay full price.

8/10drinks were great, food was ok, had the prawns in shell, the sauce was lovely but could do with a bit if seasoning as the prawns weren't seasoned enough. also my tilapia seemed burnt and rubbery

The staff were really friendly. Not quite sure why they wore black plastic gloves though. The menu prices were different to the prices displayed on the app and were increased by quite a bit from £2 to £5 per dish which was quite a surprise. We ordered the chicken wing platter which has increased in price to £50. This item came with a few side dishes one of which was fried dumplings but the chef forgot to send those!! When I enquired about the price increase I was reminded that I was getting 50% off all food so I should be okay!! Not quite the response I expected. We also ordered the king prawns in a spicy garlic sauce they arrived in a bowl looking more like bowl of soup. Our cocktail order was given to the adjoining table by the young waitress who clearly wasn’t on point at all. The restaurant itself is in serious need of redecoration with deeply scuffed walls and tired chipped paintwork. The food wasn’t bad but didn’t reflect the quality either in taste or presentation.

9.5/10First visit to this restaurant. there were three of us on an evening out. the staff were really helpful and attentive. decent portion size. I had tge oxtail which was delicious, tender and decent cuts. cocktails also well made. Will definitely me returning.

9.5/10Went here with my husband to celebrate my last day at a job . We were seated at the back of the restaurant as a Salasa Class was taking place ; we really enjoyed watching everyone enjoying themselves . The food was delicious and the waiters were so friendly and made us both feel very welcome . The place is really casual and makes you feel very chilled . The cocktails also were great !

9/10This place is a hidden gem in plain sight. The curry goat, shell-on prawns, ackee & salt fish and callaloo are consistently excellent🤌🏿 The cocktails are very strong too - definitely worth the happy hour and if there’s a Fork discount, it makes the food even sweeter!

6/10The was the second time eating at Escape restaurant and this time was disappointing, both our starter and main course came out at the same time resulting our mains was cold when we got around to eating it. Hopefully our comments will be taken into consideration as I am sure others will agree with me in this instance. All in all we had a pleasant time and would go back again.

10/10It’s a hidden gem, the food is always a 9/10 (I never give a 10/10 to anywhere as I’m a harsh critic). I’ve been coming here for a while and the food is consistently good, it’s because of this place that I now eat Ackee and salt fish - the flavours are unmatched! Good cocktails and friendly service.

7/10Food was tasty but a bit pricey. Cocktails available for happy hour very limited. Service saved the day. Thank you Lorna for being so attentive. Ambience ok but the decor needs serious updating. So in summary tasty food, lovely service, nice tunes. Defo needs some smartening up and change of badly stained chairs. Suggest easy wipe ones rather than fabric.

The issue we had is that the toilet is right next to the eating area and the smell from that area was quite awful. If something could be done to address that we would definitely visit again.

8/10I love eating at this restaurant. The food is very good, My favourite dish is the oxtail tender and tasty, although I had the Pan Seared Tilapia Fillet on this visit which was definitely not a disappointment, it was cooked perfectly. If you want to enjoy good carribbean food and lovely staff, I'd recommend visiting this restaurant.

10/10Lovely restaurant and cocktails bar, nice Caribbean vibes and atmosphere. Friendly staff who provided good and fast service. Delicious food, in particular we really enjoyed the oxtail. The only thing maybe portions could be bigger, but as I said we really enjoyed our evening at Escape, thank you!

9/10My friend and I eat here regularly as the food is great (& very reasonable with the regular offers available). We find it's worth paying that bit extra to get the curried goat without the bones, but it's all good. It tends to be very quiet when we go mid-week, but we like to be able to talk in a restaurant rather than have to yell, so that's good, too.

9.5/10Came here for a date night and everything was wonderful! All the staff we interacted with were so friendly and sweet and accommodating, they made us feel very comfortable. The food itself was incredible as well, we had a veritable feast! Will definitely be coming back $5$6$7$8
