    We went to the restaurant for a late lunch. We got a lovely welcome. Very pleasant owners. We ordered the lunch deal which consisted of fish and chips, mushy peas and a hot drink. Very good value. The food was delicious and the service was good. We will return.

    We were really surprised by those fantastic foods all which were delicious! The food quality relative to price far exceeded our expectations. It's totally not inferior to star-rated restaurants. The boss/waitress are very nice too. Its location is also convenient just 5min walk from East Finchley station.

    First of all, I didn't want to pay the service charge but they said it was mandatory whereas in London law the service charge is optional. This restaurant doesn't know about the law. Secondly, there was hair in the food and black pieces inside the fries. When I reported this, they said it was normal and the fries were fried in oil. This is a restaurant I won't go to again. I won't even pass by it. I won't recommend it to anyone.Also, the baklava had been left waiting for so long that it was now soft and inedible. It was bad experience.

However, we must address that none of the concerns you later raised were brought to our attention during the meal itself; these were only mentioned once the bill arrived. We pride ourselves on our hospitality and generosity, but we cannot allow these to be taken advantage of. As a business, we must balance our commitment to quality with sustainability, and unfortunately, offering a 100% discount is simply not feasible. We hope to welcome you back soon and will do our utmost to meet your expectations while ensuring a fair experience for all.

    We had a late lunch today and decided to order the lunch deal which consisted of cod fish and chips, mushy peas and a hot drink. The fish was extremely fresh and tasty and a good portion too. It was quiet but again, it was rather late for lunch. The service was rapid and very friendly. The value was very good. We will return. Many thanks.

    Delicious grilled Dover Sole made all the more special with the fork 50% promotion. Lovely service, good food, restaurant empty for a Tuesday night so lacked atmosphere, but the food made up for it . Will be back

    Really polite and helpful staff. Food was very good and staff kept checking if we needed anything and if the food was okay. Restaurent was very clean and food was lovely.

    Tentative, friendly service and accommodating. Would definitely visit again.

    The service was very attentive. The food was the highlight, with their fresh cod , juicy flesh but crispy batter. Not to mention the dips, and chips which was fried perfectly. While waiting for the order, we were served with flat bread with dips and hummus,which were tasty. They have kids dessert served in cute toy cups, which kids will really love!

    We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant for a birthday celebration. The food was excellent, with generous portions that left everyone satisfied. The staff were incredibly helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. The service was top-notch, and they really added to the special occasion.

    First Visit and Will Return. Visited on a Saturday night. Found the menu to be most comprehensive. Great choice of fish. Cooked and presented to a high standard. Staff were friendly and restaurant was spotless. Very pleased we have such a restaurant local to us, well worth supporting.

    My wife wanted fish soup to start which wasn’t available nor was the large sparkling water. I had whitebait, not a huge portion but very nice. We both had the haddock, one in batter and one grilled, both very good for our mains, My chips were good too though my wife who wanted veg instead of potatoes thought her’s came out of the freezer. The computer mucked up the bill which was awkward as we all got our calculators out to confirm the discount. It was very quiet hence the low score for ambiance. Good overall and would go back just for the mains
