6/10The food and ambiance were acceptable but not in a way that would encourage a return visit . The senior waitress/ maitre de was rude , abrupt and even asked for payment before we had finished our meal with no offer for any further food or drinks or coffee. We felt that our party of 5 was an inconvenience.

4/10No ambience whatsoever we were put on a small table for two with no outlook to anywhere ok for breakfast but not for an evening meal. We both had steaks which were very nice but would have expected a steak knife the platter it was served on looked very nice but not at all practical chips were dry. The desert we both would have liked was not available and there was nothing else on the desert menu that was available that we fancied having. Very disappointing.

10/10A great improvement from a few years ago. The food was of good quality, good portion size, very happy with my choice. It was my friend's first time at Forest Pines and she throughly enjoyed it. She'll be booking again.

8/10The food was excellent. The staff were very busy so we had to wait some time between courses. It is very rowdy with it being centred around it being a golf resort. It would not be suitable for a ‘date’ night.

6.5/10The food was very good quality. However, the menu is very expensive given the potion sizes. Really, at least one side is necessary, pushing the price of a main up to around £30. This is far too much. Not only this, but those on a spa break only have an allowance of £28, which only just covers most mains. Inevitably, customers end up paying a supplementary charge if they want sides or more than one course. This was very disappointing.

9.5/10Good service the guy that looked after us was very friendly and interacted well with the kids which always is a plus. As a steak aficionado I can say that the Ribey was excellent. The soup was great and so was the kids cheese pizza ???? my little one ate it all. A great experience after a long drive.

10/10Good and service were excellent , unfortunately I didn’t feel well so only had dessert. But husband had ceaser salad with sea bass and said it was amazing. The treacle tart was great. Out waitress was very helpful and cheerful.

3/10We both had the grill signature 8oz sirloin steak and it was served without steak knives- both were quite chewy and one of them was just too thin and didn’t have much taste to it. It did not feel like 8oz and was not worth the money. The starters and nibbles were good but we wished we would have gone for something else- we have cancelled our reservation for tonight. Very disappointing!

7.5/10We tried the lounge bar menu this time rather than the main restaurant menu - there was a better choice particularly for salads and lighter meals and it was also much less expensive. Standard fish and chips and a Caesar salad were excellent. Service was a little slow though unlike the previous night when we were very well looked after by Keira. It was her day off tonight!!

5/10Service at this restaurant was quite poor. Initially we were presented with two or three different versions of the menu, which changes week to week. When we realised we did not all have the same one and queried this, they were all found to be wrong, so we had to choose all over again. Drinks were slow to arrive. Food was very average, with the brie bites seeming to have no actual brie inside them! Our quiet family meal was repeatedly disturbed by drunken / rowdy golfers wandering into the restaurant looking for their golfing weekend friends. This could have easily been avoided by us not being seated right next to the door.

8.5/10This is a very comfortable hotel restaurant with good food at a reasonable price. The service was first rate and the staff couldn't have been any better making sure we had everything we needed. I would have given the food five stars, but my son complained that his chips were not as good as they could have been, however his steak was amazing! I would certainly recommend and go again.

6.5/10We ate in the bar area at lunchtime and the restaurant in the evening. At lunchtime I had to go and find someone to take our order and then the wine was incorrect so I had to find someone to change it. The waitress then came and asked us to pay our bill whilst we were still eating our meals. In the evening once again I had to go and find someone to take our dessert order and then no one was around to get the bill so we had to pay on the way out which also created a problem! Wasn't the best experience.

7/10Nice surroundings with a very pleasant and professional staff. However at £50 for afternoon tea for two some of the sandwich bread was a little dry and the fillings were rather skimpy. . As far as a discription of mixed deserts cake, cake and more cake is hardly a fair discription . When we were expecting some more imaginative dessert. 6 out of 10 .

10/10Stayed for 1 night for my birthday. The beds were large & comfortable, there was a lot of choice for the buffet breakfast, which was very tasty & the evening meal was delicious. The staff were very efficient & made my birthday meal extra special with a cake, drink & a song ???? I'd definitely recommend staying here & we will be returning very soon ????

4/10The wait for our order was quite a while even though there were hardly any other diners. We ordered the egg mayo sandwich which came out with 3 tortilla chips and a pot of hummus really disappointed could of had a salad garnish too. The other sandwiches we ordered were ok but wouldn’t rush back. The waitress didn’t have any personality and could of done with a smile.

10/10Lovely restaurant. We were on DBB deal and really good choice of menu. Our food was excellent. The staff were lovely, very polite and attentive. Jess H was our main server and was excellent. Our breakfast was also very good. Plenty of choice, hot and staff really good and helpful.

6.5/10If I go to a pub then I'm quite happy to pay for each component as I order from the bar. But in the instance of table cloths and waiter/waitress service then I would normally expect to pay at the end. So when I had to get my credit card out after the drinks arrived and then after the main but before ordering desert it all felt a bit odd. This could be a really nice restaurant but just felt a bit weird. If I'd been staying at the hotel I'd have been doubly disappointed as there is nowhere else to eat locally and I would not have been having a second meal there. It was also a bit odd that on a (Mothering) Sunday they were not actually service any roast. Not quite the mothers day I hoped to spend with my Mum.

9/10We stayed on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. The service in the restaurant, despite it being busy, was very good. You could see that all were pulling together as a team. Special thanks to Jessica for looking after us. The food was tasty, good quality and nicely presented. We will definitely return to the hotel at some point in the future.

6/10Booked afternoon tea for my partners birthday and have to say it was a little disappointing. The sandwich selection consisted of salmon and cream cheese, cream cheese and cucumber, cheese and chutney and egg mayo. Would have expected a ham or chicken choice and there was an uneven amount of some of them. The iverwhelming flavour of most of them was the lettuce and/or cucumber. The bread was getting a little dry on some too. Nice sausage roll and a few Crisps to accompany. Cake selection was fine and the scones were nice enough, liked that you got a choice of plain or fruit. Cream portions were uneven so one was less than the other and a bit short to cover both halves. The amount of food was good but just not the choice of sandwich fillings or freshness of bread. Wish I'd just booked to have a bar meal and cake instead.

6.5/10The table we were offered at first was not really suitable but we were moved thank you. The dress sense of the general diners was terrible - you should have a modicum of no tee shirts and jeans. It was very disappointing for my ladies to get into decent clothes to be sat next to scruffy polo shirted guys. The tap water should have some small amount of ice in the jug.

7/10We had the special, a lamb pie. This was basically a mince and potato pie, peas were over cooked, mash potato was good. The chocolate tart was very nice, but the apple pie was very small and all pastry. The cheese board was gorgeous. Meals were given when a member was at the toilet and the starter cutlery wasn't taken away. We had a bottle of wine, and a taster wasn't offered, or water glasses taken away. Wait between meals was not excessive and crockery was clean. Staff were pleasant and chatty, and the meal overall was okay.

6/10The food in the restaurant was lovely, however the service was extremely poor and the waiting time was long. Ordered a drink and it took around 30 minute to come, in that time I had finished my meal. When leaving the restaurant we walked through the open breakfast area, (which we were sat right next to) which multiple people also did. This area was filled with dirty plates and cups from customers, which hadn’t been taken through to the kitchen. This is not something you want to see at a restaurant due to how unhygienic this was.

7/10The restaurant has a nice, comfortable setting. The food was well presented and very tasty. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. Unfortunately the service needs to improve. Ordered a bottle of wine which never appeared. Waited ages for sweets. Having ordered had to go to payment desk to ask what was happening. Several tables around us in same position.

6.5/10Food was very good but the service wasn't the greatest had to ask to get dinner plates taken away after waiting 30 minutes after finishing eating, then for desert again we had to ask to get the plates taken away and the restaurant wasnt to busy for the staff not to have time to clean the table

3/10We were asked when we arrived if we wanted water for the table which wasn’t explained costed any extra so we accepted then we were charged almost £6 for it. I ordered the chicken which was extremely small for saying it costed £18. The staff were lovely though which makes it hard to say anything bad about, it however it did seem like a rip off and ended up having to go else where for food after we had spent £60 on a meal which was disappointing and no where near worth the price. I did speak to our waitress about our experience which she seems to ignore. The restaurant was beautiful which makes me sad that we had this experience as almost everything’s about our stay was lovely
