As ever the F and G delivered a fabulous meal. Delightful starters- beautifully cooked duck with pineapple; the tenderest of lamb for the main and luxy chocolate dessert. One of our party was celebrating a birthday and a lovely touch was the candles in the dessert. That's all you want when you are over 60! We continue to enjoy the food at the F and G and look forward to our next visit. Very good service, even when they are fully booked and busy.
The food was amazing ,we had the beef and could not fault a thing,The service was 10 out of 10 the waitresses were very pleasant .
Excellent food and service
Delicious food and wine as always! Good service too.
Lovely sunday lunchtime...the atmosphere...the coal fire....the service and the food - all exceptional
Good food! Exceptionally busy & understaffed front of house
Lovely Suffolk village pub overlooking an old church-great ambiance, excellent food and service
A thoroughly enjoyable meal. Excellent food, drinks and service - as always!
The Fox and Goose never disappoints, a great place to eat.
Sunday lunch as a belated Valentine's Day treat, and as always at the Fox & Goose, it did not disappoint. You could pick absolutely anything from the menu, and it pais immaculately with everything else. The roast beef is never less than totally perfect, with just enough superbly cooked vegetables to accompany. Puddings are to die for; enough said. The service as always attentive; polite, and never ever overpowering.
We love this restaurant and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and welcoming and look after everything. Can’t name a favourite dish as the menu changes but love the taste and he presentation
Love the atmosphere when dining here, we sat in the pub restaurant area which is always a nice relaxed atmosphere where you can choose off the pub and restaurant menu always an easy option in case you just fancy something low key. Your always able to choose dishes which complement each other and the staff are always helpful in explaining the dishes if required. We often dine here for occasions and love the food.
Lovely food at good price. Staff friendly.
Very good food - lovely evening
This is the second visit in two weeks which says it all! Once again the experience was very relaxing, food excellent and service very good value.
Food was ok although we had to return one meal as it was clearly reheated and burnt so much it was black . The portions were tiny .... Would have preferred to pay more and not have had to make a sandwich as soon as I returned home as I was still very hungry . Would not return .
We've been a few times now & food has been of a consistently high standard. Portion size has akways erred towards the manageable. This time, eating from the pub classics bar menu, the battered fish strayed into minuscule territory - 4 mouthfuls. Lucky we filled up with chip butties or we'd have left seriously hungry! Stay on posher menu would be our advice for taste & value
I took my parents to the restaurant for my Mum's Birthday & will definitely be returning, I found the staff both friendly & efficient & the food Excellent.
