6/10Forced to leave after 2 hours no time for deserts just because the plates took too long to arrive, constant pressure from the staff because you have such a short window to eat. Eating while watching you clock all the time, very bad experience

9/10We ate early so the restaurant was fairly quiet. As it was the day after Boxing Day, they were out of one or two items, which I had expected would be a possibility but it wasn’t anything major. Despite the restaurant being fairly empty, they sat a couple with a baby right behind us and squeezed the high chair in directly behind me. Steak was perfectly cooked. We had sort of chosen what we wanted ahead of time but when they brought out the platter to show, we both pivoted to a different choice. Scallops were perfectly cooked and they added an extra one to share.

10/10We found this restaurant by accident, and I’m so glad we did! The atmosphere and the food was amazing and so classy and tasty. Worth every penny in my eyes. We had the pleasure of having Michael and Allesio as our vaitors and they made our experience absolutely perfect (thank you guys! It was worth eating the lactose, iykyk). I’ll recommend this place to my friends and we’ll be back! Love Monika from Norway

5/10The stake was so under done, I asked for medium rare and it honestly looked very rare and cold. I really didn’t want to be rude and disturb the waitress and I was also with my girlfriend who I was going to propose to at your restaurant but I changed my mind immediately after receiving the food. Just a shame as it’s my second time at the Chancery Lane and both times it’s been very disappointing. Tower bridge gaucho has to be by far the best gaucho I’ve been to and I’ve always thought no matter the location the quality of food and service should be the same…. However this wasn’t the case this time around and we’ve Spent over £170. Chancery gaucho it’s been a pleasure but you’ve just lost a customer many thanks

9/10The food was excellent as always, however there were only 2 waiters and service was slower than expected for a place like Gaucho, plus the decor of that Gaucho restaurant (Chancery Lane, is starting to look dated.

10/10Gaucho lunch - just perfect - small well curated lunch menu - superb Argentinian steaks - perfectly seasoned and prepared with great flavour. Excellent service - super wine by the glass - super for lunch in around an hour. Highly recommend this - especially for carnivores !

8.5/10Great main courses but desserts were disappointingly average so won’t bother getting dessert next time. No separate bar unlike other Goucho restaurants which we weren’t aware of but they managed to seat us early so that worked fine. Highly recommend the chateaubriand and the Don David Malbec.

6.5/10They had only 1 waitress to serve the whole place! It took them forever to take our orders...it took 1 hour to get our main dishes. We had to ask few times for our food and thus we couldnt order dessert as we were late to our next appointment

4.5/10Gaucho was a recommended place, and I went there with high expectations, as I like to eat steak. Moreover, I invited a friend and his wife, as they were visiting. The experience was underwhelming, to say the least. The service was slow, and I had a difficult time even getting the attention of the waiters. On the other hand, while I was waiting for my guests to arrive, i was asked no less than three times about, food, water, and bread .. which I couldn't order. The steaks were of average to low quality in meat, tough, chewy and not the right temperature. I ordered the rib eye; medium arrived - medium well - filet was medium well - arrived well done - they must have sat somewhere as all of them arrived tepid. Fish was not well cooked, and meat would not come off the bones cleanly, so I had to leave half of it. The sides - Fries arrived cold and frankly very ordinary in presentation; moreover, for that money, I would have expected a bit more - barely enough for one. Broccoli - literally 5 stems for 3 pounds, what a rip-off. The spinach - arrived cold and watery. Also, a rip-off, offering no taste. Dessert - sticky pudding, definitely out of a box - dry from the inside and smothered from the outside. The cheesecake was a saving grace. Drinks - when i order diet coke - I want it in my can, my option to drink with or without ice; they came directly in a glass and watered down - very disappointing. Normally I would have made a complaint, but I did not want to do it in front of my friend and his wife. under normal circumstances, i would not have paid for the steak and the sides. I hope you change, but for one i will never return again.

5/10We were here for a business dinner, the service was a little slow, and none of the stekas were cooked as ordered (one had to go back). As the food is SO expensive (min £30 steak) we expected much better. An expensive disappointment, we won't use Gaucho for work events again.

6.5/10Starters were far too spicy and we did not order them with this in mind - how can you destroy a good empanada or scallops by adding loads of chili. Excess of spice on my tongue actually jeopardised the ribeye experience, which was supposed to be the highlight of my time at Gaucho. The toffee pudding was just correct. Good wine list of Argentinian wines. You can tell the place is not run by Argentinians that love good local cuisine from that country. Unfortunate. Not sure I will return. Sorry.

3.5/10The worst service I have received in a London restaurant unfortunately. I wouldn’t go back or recommend. The table next to us didn’t seem happy either as their steaks were apparently cold on the inside.

6.5/10Restaurant was very empty for a Friday lunchtime . Table given was very cold with aircon above , staff could not turn down so had to move . Only 2 choices of dessert and one chosen wasn’t available - waitress had bad English , spoke to quickly and pushed a cocktail on to me in place of a dessert that I didn’t really want .

7.5/10Lacked atmosphere as we went in early (17.45). Quite a pricey meal with two courses and a glass of wine at £85 per head including service. Steaks were good quality surprised they were no served with any potato or vegetables which were at extra cost.
