It was good until I mentioned we have the Fork V day menu. After that service, well there wasn’t any. I think apart from ordering which I ended up having to search for service, they spoke barely two words to us. Dumped food & ran. Food was lovely but service was non existent!

5.5/10my fiance and I ordered the pasta dish and our both dishes were undercooked and taken back. As an apology, they did offer us free dessert, but it ended up taking nearly an hour to get our actual mains to eat. The starters were solid - I recommend the empanada and tostada. The corn wasn't that good.

This is my go-to Gaucho restaurant. Staff are friendly and efficient. Menu has been updated so no waygu beef burger this time, but the half spatchcock chicken main was delicious. Breast was juicy and loved the char on the skin. The sides are also great too. The Apple crumble and ice cream was ok. The crumble texture was way too soft. Granted it melted in the mouth and the caramelised apples were so good and flavour wise really happy that the apples got to sing without the usual cinnamon. Used my Yums Yums with my booking so doubly happy. I’ll be back again soon.

Service was amazing,beautiful restaurant to dine in with a calm atmosphere,Eliza was a lovely waitress serving to my every request and helped me with out with a few enquiries that I had about the menu. I will definitely be returning.

service was great. the server was very happy and was really helpful. The beef was fantastic. The dauphanoise potatoes were cold but we advised our server and without any fuss they were replaced served hot and very tasty.

5.5/10Overall the food was tasty, however portion sizes were small for the price. Once we were seated we were told we needed to order quickly as they were going to be busy and would need the table back. A time limit on the table wasn’t mentioned at the point of booking - and it wasn’t a problem as we hadn’t intended to spend all night there, however we were constantly being rushed throughout the entire meal. When it came to the bill, we were challenged about using the fork Yums deal. They finally updated the bill, however the whole experience has left me not wishing to dine with Gaucho again.

Lovely warm welcome from front of house upon arrival. I love their cocktail menu; the Alfajores one is highly recommended! Wagyu burgers were flavoursome. Looking forward to returning in the new year.

4/10When we entered the restaurant, the first thing we noticed was the dim lighting - rather than looking like a restaurant it looked to us more like a bar. The waitress then proceeded to place us right next to a boom box, and frankly the noise was unbearable. To make things worse, when the waitress came to take our order, she did not bother to listen to what we had to say and kept on rambling about what we should be ordering despite me having made it very clear that I only wanted the steak. She kept shouting at my ear even as I tried to interrupt, and finally stopped after 5 excruciating minutes. The food itself was average to say the least, the steak was way overcooked for a medium rare and the fish had no taste to it. Overall, would not go back again.

10/10A tucked away basement restaurant off a busy City street, this has a private club atmosphere. Specialising in steaks, there are fish, chicken and vegetarian options. The salmon with mint and radish salad was excellent.

9/10staff are kind and take time to explain the menu specially pairing wine with the cut of steak you will get. attentive to needs. We didn't have to call them for anything, it was just provided for us. Smooth transition from coming in the restaurant to drinks to mains to dessert to billing to coming out of the restaurant. Superb food, wine selection and experience. Would definitely come back.

7/10It was annoying that every time a member of the team went past my chair they knocked it. This happened at least a dozen times whilst dining. It spoilt the atmosphere for me as I couldn’t relax.

6/10Ok, not great. Staff started cleaning up while we were there. Closes at 11pm, not 10:30 so don’t start cleaning while customers are still there. Last round of drinks must have been made by someone other than the normal barman as they were really badly made. Disappointing

5/10Forced service that was perfunctory at best. One waiter didn’t know what a bread knife was . Bread plate whisked away before we’d even finished half the breads in order to make room on the table. Zero genuine personal interest in our meal. Given how many quality steak houses there are in this city I’d go elsewhere .

7/10I wasn't looking for an underground restaurant, so missed it when first passing by. I attended for Lunch on a Monday and there were very few customers. The décor is pleasant and with so few customers we had a quiet time and were able to talk amongst ourselves without straining to hear each other. I selected the sautéed king prawns to start and found them enjoyable. A little bread would have been nice to enjoy the sauce fully. We each had the filet steak salad for our main course. Nicely done meat with beans, peas & leaves was a nice alternative for me. The option on Mondays to bring your own wine, without paying corkage, is not common but I think a desirable change to selecting from a restaurant's wine list. This alone is likely to see me return. The service efficient and quietly in the background until needed.
