7.5/10Overpriced. A pleasant venue and decent food; however, not worth the price point. I would expect a little bit more from a restaurant charging top prices, it was all a bit basic and bland.

10/10We loved our first visit to Gaucho in Newcastle. A beautiful restaurant, incredibly attentive staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in the door. They made a special occasion even more special and we'll all definitely be back, thank you so much!

9/10Food and service are top quality. Suggestions of starters based on main were well received. It’s a little crowded however. For the price point you’d expect to not be so tightly packed in on tables of 2, especially considering we went at peak time on a Friday night and it wasn’t full. It did take away from the experience a little compared to their Manchester restaurant. Toilets could do with a little better signposting

6.5/10Pretty good food except for the McDonald’s fries, awful they were, nice vibe, facilities etc but fries let it down

5.5/10Sunday dinner stopped at 16:30pm. The scallops were very rubbery and the steak over cooked. Overall the rest of the food was okay. I appreciate this restaurant is fairly new to the area but needs some improvement with service and food. We have visited this restaurant in Edinburgh which was much better. I think with a bit more time and education to staff this could be a great restaurant.

8.5/10We loved this restaurant. We went on a recommendation from our son after he’d been to the one in Edinburgh. The food was fantastic. The wine, although ridiculously expensive for us, was really good. The service at our table was good - BUT - the music was too loud. We couldn’t hear what our server was saying and , embarrassingly, we had to ask her to repeat the options several times. We like background music but this was just a bit too much. It was turned down and all was well!

5/10the steak tartar was over salted, we sent them back. the replacements were ok. i ordered spinach that too was over salted and returned. my wife had rump steak which she was told was the most delicate cut. it was full of fat and not edible, that was also returned. they did take the items off the bill

10/10Magnificent meal with wonderful service. The fillet steak was divine - the peppercorn sauce complimented it perfectly. The server, Craig, was very friendly and knew his stuff. A great experience.
