8/10The food is always good but what was a little off-putting is (having been several Times over the years) it felt like they were ‘annoyed’ with the discount booking - they had the wrong time on their reservation system and tried to say because it’s a different time they may not be able to give the discount - they did in the end

8.5/10We started with a couple of cocktails that were well made. Our starters of snails and of oysters went down very well. My main course steak was cooked very well and of good quality. My wife’s moules mariniere was disappointing: the mussels lacked flavour and the sauce was very watery and also lacking in flavour. Our chocolate pot desserts were good and the freshly made madeleines were great. Service was good.

4/10The service afforded by the manager was so atrocious that for the first time in my culinary dining life I refused to pay the service charge. Simply not good enough which is very disappointing as I've never had such an experience at any other Gazette.

9/10We had Onion Soup, Venison, and the special dish from Alsace. Fair price for the food. It is well seasoned, but I find it "too well seasoned". Still enjoyed it, regardless ...

4.5/10Serice was attentive and efficient. The food was poor. Pheasant more bone than meat that was not tender and a risotto that was more like a rice pudding. Also small portions.

9.5/10First rate French food and efficient service. Just a shame the restaurant was almost empty (weird: lunchtime in Putney the Thursday before Christmas) and a bit cold (kept my coat on)

4.5/10We were a party of four. We had oysters, scallops , a couple were raw. Squid , onion soup, steak tatar. However we all had stomach upsets and dihorea over the weekend.

8/10Loved the food. And great presentation and delivery, slicing or prepping dishes beside table. Price point is above average. Thank goodness for the offer or I wouldn’t be able to afford a mid week dinner out.

9/10I do like their menu that's why we go to Gazette for a couple of years now. Although we prefer the Battersea branch even though they don't do offers. Impression depends on the staff a lot. Let's say, I'm not sure that the manager of this particular branch supports a restaurant's participation in the Fork festival and we can feel it in the attitude. No such feeling with other branches. Also sometimes steaks are not available on Sundays (regardless of the offer). Yesterday all was good though, staff was friendly (the manager wasn't there) and everything was tasty and according to the offer.

10/10I went there for the first time, after discovering their Monday night deal on The Fork website, yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised. I can't believe I never knew about this place. Lovely food and great service. Will be returning soon.

7/10Our food came out from the kitchen and was put near our table but nobody came to serve it to us . I had to chase them to serve it . Apart from that, the quality of the food and everything else was fine.

8/10I love the chain, very good French cuisine restaurants. Specifically the one in Putney is a bit less welcoming than others we visited (if you come on promo), a bit less comfortable and the food is just less than perfect than the other branches but very much worth coming. Which we definitely will again. Their tartar is amazing, my favorite dessert is apple tart.

5/10Lovely ambience but terrible service. We visited the restaurant on a Sunday for lunch, booking through The Fork with 50% off on food. We ordered their recommended dish (Suckling Pig), together with other two starters. We found out when requesting the bill that they were not applying the 50% off on the mains because it was their "special". They argued that the 50% off promotion doesn't apply to set menus and drinks, when their special main was not part of any set menu and the waiter did not flag that the promotion would not have applied on this particular dish when we ordered. Do not recommend coming.

4/10Two members got allergic reaction to the mackerel dish. Understand that can happen when fish not stored properly. service was also poor throughout - had to get attention to order, get coffees, get bill.

We were there for my wife's birthday. We've been there a few times before and the service ran a little slow. The food, however, was just as good as ever. We always enjoy eating here, and recommend it to our friends.

5.5/10This branch is local to us and we’d come in once in a while and would usually be great food and service, this time round however was very different. Seems like they’ve lacked in the quality of the produce they provided; this has raised health and safety concerns for me and will avoid to probably go back for a very long time. I will not be stating what dish or what hazardous concerns was raised as the restaurant manager is aware but I am honest with my review and hope that the restaurant will better their food quality. The staff was well mannered and good service as always, I was offered a replacement for the dish that was not okay though that dish turned out to not be my cup of tea as it wasn’t specified before that it’d be goat cheese that was to be served; we still appreciated the gesture. We hope to come back but just not anytime soon
