5.5/10Food was just Ok, service slow, not particularly attentive. Ambiance again ok but place full and a little noisy up stairs. The building however was fantastic.

The upstairs Restaurant at German Gymnasium takes diners on a journey around the lesser known aspects of German cuisine, with a sophisticated seasonal menu that is only available on our first floor. The Restaurant menu has been thoughtfully designed by our Executive Chef, Alexander Thiel, drawing on his experiences as a restauranteur in Berlin to deliver a unique experience for London’s foodies. Walk up the grandiose staircases in our Grade 2 listed historical building and soak up the high-ceilinged ambience, enjoy views over the buzzing ground floor Grand Café and order from the chic Meister Bar, which shares the first floor with the Restaurant.
