6/10Service was generally quite slow, the waiter who brought our main courses disappeared before we were able to ask for condiments (and neither were any offered), the table wasn't always cleared between courses and we were seated next to a very rowdy group, which made conversation difficult. Our main server was a pleasant enough chap, but there seemed to be a bit of a communication barrier. Additionally, I had to ask for the Yums discount to be applied.

2/10We arrived, pressed in time. We told our waiter we had to leave in 50 minutes. We wanted steak. He suggested we share some big pieces. It took 45 minutes for the food to arrive, even though we had asked again and again that they should send us at least the salads first. The lady placer was telling us she was dealing with it immediately when we complained to her but then she went to the next table and talked to the customers there and I believe she never went to the kitchen to check. We asked our waiter to check about three times but it didn’t help. We had to find the manager and he then went to the kitchen. It took another 10 minutes. Then the meat showed up and instead of rare it was well done. What a disappointment from beginning to the end!

5.5/10Food was ok but no better than a standard high street steak house, service was poor (the amount of uncleared tables was ridiculous and trying to get the attention of staff was a joke): basically you’re paying over the odds for the restaurants location (which apart from overlooking the Thames, isn’t great, it’s overcrowded with tourists)

7.5/10They didn’t have my booking when I arrived and failed to take off the £50 offer off my bill - had to requested for it to be amended. Food was good but the steak was slightly cold and the peppercorn sauce was very runny and just didn’t do it for me. Otherwise, very nice ambiance.

7/10unfortunately disappointed with food ordered Rack of Lamb which told take 35 minutes, surprised that all when served where only Two cutlets. Fish & Chips portion small. Steak hamburger very salty. Service was excellent.

7.5/10Nice restaurant with an excellent view of Westminster. The food was good quality - I ordered the sirloin and it was cooked well, albeit slightly under seasoned for my liking, but I do like well seasoned food. Ambiance was nice and relaxed, we were not rushed, although service could have been better with items being missed off the order. Overall a good place to eat.

10/10I booked a table for two with the intent of proposing to my partner. After confirming the booking on Fork, I was able to ring the restaurant and make them aware of my plan. Little did I know that following this, they placed us Infront of one of the main feature views over the Thames, and covered our table with petals and candles. I sadly couldn't wait that long and proposed on the London Eye ahead of our meal, but the staff were so welcoming, the food was the die for. My new Fiance and I had the Wagyu Burger, which donated part of the price to a registered charity, halloumi fries and the triple cooked chips, the price of which was paid to a second charity. To finish off the perfect day, ahead of us leaving, the team encouraged us to stay beyond our allotted table booking time, at which point they brought us out a complimentary chocolate BIG BEN dessert that was absolutely delicious. In short, our individual waitress and the entire team were incredible and really looked after us. The food was on another level and for 2 featured mains, two cocktail drinks and 2 sides came to £119. If you understand the difference between value and price, from reading this review, the price was a bargain for how we felt when leaving. Needless to say we will be returning. Thank you again Gillrays.

9/10Lovely setting and view. Attentive service. Several major items were not available from the menu, with no alternatives or ‘specials’ offered. My fillet steak was lukewarm, and together with the room temperature bearnaise sauce, my meal was soon cold. Side dish portion sizes were small. Overall a tasty but expensive meal, that could have been served warmer.

9/10So enjoyed the bar and the view was great. Had fun trying different gins in the bar. The upgrade charge for a martini versus on the rocks was a bit steep. The restaurant was more casual than we thought it would be. The filet was great. So was the steak tartare. The bernaise sauce was a bit thick. The sweet potatoes were small, but nice char flavor. For a hotel dining experience, overall good!

6/10We were staying at the hotel so we wanted to have a nice steak dinner here. The food was solid, but the service was mixed tonight. A dinner for 2 adults and 2 children that started at 6:00pm took 2.5 hours. We enjoyed the food, the view, and each other’s company, but the service felt distracted and hectic at the same time. We would not dine here again.

8.5/10Lovely cocktail area. Piano player fab. Staff were lovely . Food was lovely, we ate off the theatre menu it was great value. To justify 5 star maybe tableclothes and less light. Small error on the bill which was quickly rectified.

8.5/10We loved the atmosphere and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable- the steaks were good but not great but the bernaise sauce was really lovely as were the chips. The view over the Thames is awesome. It was sometimes hard to attract the staff's attention but they were very nice to deal with. Definitely recommend for a unique and enjoyable London experience

5/10The menu contains many different dishes of meat. However, when we were served with our dishes, we found the meat to be inedible. After making a complaint, we were served with a second dish. However, it was only very slightly improved. I certainly make better meat at home myself. Surprisingly it seem like there was no chef at the kitchen.

6.5/10Restaurant is nice but definitely could be a lot better for its price. We got our table inside when I’ve requested under my reservation notes that I want an outside table. Our waiter took a long time to go to our table once we were seated as well as to bring our wine bottle, service was too slow . The restaurant of this category should at least have a nice background music but it was completely bored and not amenitized

5/10We chose this restaurant to meet our friends visiting from Spain as a treat. Throughout we asked eg for water for our friend and it didn't arrive until we pressed for it again I order small beer, that too didn't arrive .when our friend's wife ordered a glass of house red my wife requested a house whit. She too was served with a glass of red only to be told there was no house white but she wasn't made aware nor given a choice of a white wine. This meal wasn't cheap and nor was it served to a decent standard

They were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food. Gillrays Steakhouse is renowned for its steaks, and rightfully so. I ordered the fillet steak, cooked to medium-rare perfection.
