10/10We were looked after by the staff. Food was very tastey and although we had finished our meal and the restaurant was due to close, we were not rushed to leave.

We had an amazing time at Grand Cholan. The staff was super friendly and always ready to give recommendations on what to eat. The location and restaurant itself were lovely! I’d definitely go back!

10/10Our second visit (for Valentine's Day) and the food and service did not disappoint. It is an outstanding restaurant with friendly and helpful staff, and has great cocktails and draught beer to boot! Can't wait to go again.

Good food and experience. Fork discount was cherry on the top! Recommended dishes: paneer Tikka, dal makhni, garlic Naan, Malai kulfi.. podi masala dosa was a let down being too salty.

10/10We visited Grand Cholan for an anniversary lunch on 22nd December and, by our request, they gave us a nice table overlooking the docks. We were treated to the most delicious, well-presented food and enjoyed outstanding service. They also had draught Cobra and great cocktails which were a real bonus. Dining in Indian restaurants is one of our favourite things and this restaurant is up there with the finest we have been too. We will definitely be visiting again!

9.5/10We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children (11 yrs old each). Being a Saturday evening, the restaurant was busy as expected on a weekend, but the staff made the experience quite seamless. Shanta, the manager was excellent in ensuring we were comfortable and had all we need.

10/10We had paneer dosa as a starter. It wasn't written as a starter by our lovely waitress recommended that to have eaten as a starter so we finish it before digging into our chicken tikka masala main with garlic naan. That was a very good recommendation and we enjoyed the time there.

Whether it was the creamy butter chicken, the aromatic biryani, or the crispy samosas, each dish was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to preserving traditional Indian cuisine. What truly set this restaurant apart, however, was the impeccable service. Jacob was great and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to accommodate any request. In addition to the delectable food and excellent service, the ambience of the restaurant was also worth mentioning. 10/10The food here is very authentic Indian food with reasonable spice level.We tried south Indian cousins here and the ghee podi masala dosa was a winner.Crispy and very delicious.The chutneys were really good too.Ibwould recommend this place if you really craving good south India.Will visit back to try other dishes too.

10/10This is maybe the best Indian restaurant on the Isle of Dogs. Its location, view, and service are all wonderful, and its dishes are value for the price. I strongly recommend it, and will definitely come another time.
