Amazing food - I love this place and would definitely recommend to all my friends
Authentic!
Small Indian restaurant outside the main touristic route. We went here for new year’s eve and were not disappointed! Portions are abundant and price totally reasonable.. My only complain: they could spice their masalas more as they were quite mild. The staff was very attentive to our requests (naan instead of rice, no sugar in the chai) and the peshwari naan remained in our heart!
The food was excellent, The waiters were very friendly and knowledgeable. Service was very good. The price of everything was very good. Thank you
Very nice restaurant, great price/value *****
We waited for an hour for the food to arrive and the restaurant wasn’t even fully seated. The waiter kept saying the food is coming but it was just classic decoy to keep us waiting. During that hour we even saw UberEats order coming in and fulfilled while we wait with abated breath for our in-restaurant order to be taken care of. When the food finally arrives it was mediocre to say the least. What was really odd for me especially was that the waiter never once addressed my directly - only speaking to my partner. I don’t know if it’s a gender culture thing or that they just don’t like me at all, but I definitely felt neglected as a customer.
Good restaurant worth a visit, lovely staff
The food was really good, but I decided to rate only 4 of 5 because as both me and my friend are vegan we had too little options to choose from in the menu, and only desert without dairy (fruit salad). Also we would prefer if the lights were slightly more dimmed. Other then this we had a great time; very nice and friendly service.
Very good food, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff
Very good food and good personal service Local, family restaurant was perfect to experience local scene in a relaxing setting.
This was fantastic. Delicious fresh food, beautifully presented in a delightful restaurant with friendly, welcoming service. Great for us that they spoke English really well too! Highly recommend.
Absolutely delicious food! We had the Chicken Biryani, Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Tikka Masala, Shrimp with Coconut Sauce, several different naans and the Raita. Everything we had was amazing and the service was stellar too! Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a break from Portuguese food while in Lisbon.
Fantastic service, tasty and well presented food, possibly one of the best Indian meal I ever had, highly recommended
Oh yeah!!!
After reading the amazing reviews at the Gurkha we booked this through trip advisor only a few hours before our visit. Booking was easy and the restaurant welcomed us. We were not disappointed, the whole experience from the friendly waiters to the great wine and fantastic food could not have been better.
We use Dal Makhani as a benchmark dish when visiting restaurants, and this was on a par with many we have had travelling in India. Overall, the quality of the food and the level of service were excellent. Slightly disappointed that very few Nepalese dishes appear on the menu, which mostly comprises the standard dishes you find in any "Indian" restaurant. But forgiven, because it was well made, and tasted good.
great! lovely people, warm and friendly atmosphere, perfect service, tasty food, and very reasonable prices. what else is there? :)
The dishes took a long while to arrive, but when it arrived it was all very good and filling. ????
This was a very tasty meal and the waiters were accommodating and extremely friendly. We had an enjoyable family meal this evening which really contributed to our first day in Lisbon. We will be back! :)
Bland & lacking in appropriate spices, a typical nondescript Indian restaurant sadly
