9/10Attentive staff and obliging . However much cousin and myself thought the lunch menue could have more main content like a steak . The food was hot and good . A point t to note when mentioning The Fork to the booking clerk he did not know about Mum's or how I benefitted and neither do I 🤔 Otherwise a pleasant lunch 😋

10/10Being with my dear friend that’d been unwell and didn’t want to much noise around her. We were sat in the corner, a nice quiet area. Perfect.

9.5/10Good food pleasant staff nice surroundings . For night time some areas of dining need to improve on the lighting as its quite dark where certain tables are and difficult to read the menue and drinks list . Also had to move tables as the one allocated was wobbling all over the place even after the waitress tried her best to stabilise it .

10/10I took my friend here for lunch for her birthday. She had fish and chips and I had steak pie with mash & broccoli. The service was excellent, and we were seated overlooking the river by an open window on a very lovely sunny day. Parking is also free at this restaurant. Perfect!

10/10Didn't realise this restaurant was so close by, with plenty of parking and right by the river side, its a gem. Food was delicious and service was fantastic. I booked this place for some guest that we had staying down and they absolutely loved it. We will definitely be returning.

9.5/10It was a new menu and the waiter was able to advise us on the choices … very knowledgeable about the food and the wine and we appreciated that as well as his great service . The food was delicious… I would say they used quality fresh ingredients beautifully prepared and presented . We had the mezze, rotisserie chicken and a proper steak pie (rather than a slice or pie top). Good portions and all hot. The wine was a bit pricey but the house selection is good. - they call it Easy Drinking.

6.5/10The staff were friendly and clearly had a difficult job as the kitchen was very slow. Almost everyone in our section was having their bills discounted as the wait for the food was long. The drinks came quickly but it took us 2 and a half hours for 2 courses. Food was good when it came, but the kitchen needs to get its act together. I had read other reviews of slow service before I went but didn’t expect it to be so bad. We told the manager we had read about the slow service on social media, his response was one of surprise because he said that he doesn’t read it!

10/10Went there for a meal on a Saturday at 12. The services was excellent as was the food. It is great place to eat as the food and interior design are spot on. Really enjoyed myself. We will all be going back.

8.5/10This was my 3rd visit. Location is my main attraction. It is right on the river. it's just lovely to see so much activity on the river. It's ideal for family, meeting friends, just chilling out. The food is good, cocktails are reasonably priced and are mixed well. Ample parking, One of my favourite places to chill out.

10/10The Hart Boatyard is a great place - the service was superb, the location wonderful & the food was excellent. Special mention for Aiden - the young waiter who looked after us. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will be back soon.

6.5/10We had a strange first experience at Harts. We had booked a table for two for a birthday meal and on arrival were seated at the bottom of the pub next to a family with a young baby. We had never been before so we didn't know if this was a usual place to dine and we were told to order at the bar when we were ready. We put our starters through and then were told there was no chateaubriand so Tom came back to the table to take my new mains order, went back to the bar and ordered the mains also. Starters came and were delicious, but then as we were eating them our mains were brought to the table also. The waitress said that because they were put through separately at the bar they had made them already! They couldn't be sent back because it was steak so it would overcook so they were left at the table for us to eat immediately after the starters. The family with the baby beside us left and then some noisy teenagers came to drink beside us. I then discovered that upstairs is the restaurant and table service section of Harts. So I asked could we be moved upstairs to finish our wine and order dessert. There we found the dining experience to be so much more pleasant and it was such a shame that we were sat downstairs in the bar area for all of our meal. If we had table service upstairs there would never have been the issue of our mains arriving at the same time as our starters. And it would have been the dining experience that we had expected at booking. We did give our feedback on paying for the bill and the bartender was extremely kind and apologised for the mixup. There was another lady there who explained that we needed to specify that we want to sit in the restaurant at booking but it would have been nice for the option to have been given at arrival and seating, when seeing that you're seating a couple next to a family who are out past the usual bedtime of a baby! (Especially because we had booked babysitters in for our own children). A shame because it would have been lovely to sit upstairs for the entirety and then the mains would have been hot and enjoyed more too.

10/10The food was excellent as was the service. We were able to sit out on the veranda and watch the river with sailing boats, narrow boats and a Mississippi steam boat. Also a lot of wild life, very entertaining! Thank you for a wonderful birthday lunch! Jill Atkinson.

9/10We asked for a table near a window but were not expecting the sun to be so bright. It was very warm in the restaurant and none of the doors were open. Once the sun set it was fine but maybe some blinds on the higher windows would be good so you are not having to wear sunglasses whilst eating. Service was very good and food was excellent !

6/10Good Sunday roast but slightly disappointed that they’d run out of beef option. Service speed and attentiveness needs to improve- just small things like receiving your mustard before you’ve finished your meal!!

8/10A lovely setting on the river. Great atmosphere and excellent and friendly service . The food was average. We had fish cakes which were more potatoes than anything fishy had no taste at all. The accompanying asparagus sauce was very good though.

7.5/10Food was very nice, we all enjoyed our meal. The only downside was having to ask for milk to go in my tea and then have to ask for a teaspoon, I think that these should have come with the tea. I will be visiting again as the restaurant is in a lovely position and the food is good.
