The table was booked for 7.30pm, It was not ready and we were invited to wait in the bar, which we did. At 8pm we enquired about the table and it seemed that they had forgotten about us! Finally about ten minutes later we were seated. It was a long time before anyone came to take our order. We were a group of 5. The first three were able to have what they chose, but number 4 requested a chicken dish only to be told that there was no more chicken except chicken burger; he does not eat burgers. He chose scampi instead. I am vegetarian and chose the camembert tart which comes with jacket potato and coleslaw. I was asked if I would accept chips if there were no jacket potatoes. I said no thank you, The food finally arrived--after a long wait--for the other four people. They were half way through their meal before mine arrived--with chips, which I sent back and was supplied with instead mash as no jackets---HORRIBLE! We then had a long wait before the requested bill arrived.

This restaurant was an old favourite which I took a friend to celebrate a birthday. The staff were friendly and reassured my friend who thought eas lost was infact the right place! The quality of the food was as expected. Would recommend to others

Very busy with school half term and a number of birthday parties. Yet we were well served throughout. Steaks were fabulously tasty and each done exactly to our preferences. Good hard work by the team this evening, thank you all

I visited this place during the week and it was quieter and the food was nice but the service was very slow. So I decided to come back with my wife and kids. I reserved a table but when we arrived there was no table available so we had to wait by the bar because some tables were just about to pay. The person at the reception was quite rude and dismissive. After we were finally seated, a few items from the menu were not available, including the dish we went there for. We decided to leave and, for whatever reason, the receptionist was clearly angry about us leaving. I'd like to come back for the dish I wanted but not sure I will due to the service.

This is one of our family's favourite restaurants for its varied menu and we are regulars to Harvester. We enjoy trying out new dishes every time we visit and on this particular ocassion we were served by a lovely new waitress who was great.

Our table was booked for 7 pm for my family of 7 inclufing 3 children We had tobwait over 15 mins for s table to become free Once seated it took for ever for our order to be taken Was told salad bowls would be brought ton the table and waited over 10 mins and had to ask agsin Then we had to ask for our refill glasses so we coukd get a drink Our starters again took ages and when the wete brought to the table the srever would not put the dishes in front of us my son had to take them of the tray and pass them round and burnt his hands as the plates were piping hot Once again finished and waiting ages for our mains Table was not cleared and they wanted to put our dinner down gad to ask for the table to be cleared so we could eat Then the order for desserts again ages the kitchen even closed by this time and again waited ages for them to come out No staff two girls serving and another boy who dropped customers dinners Horredous service manager has no control I wont be going back and warn others to avoid We were in there for over three and half hours Awful experience ????

The food and service was great. However before leaving I was going to use the Toilets but found the male toilet absolutely stunk and the mats in the urinals were mouldy . My Grandaughters said the womens was no better

The lady with short hair was really rude and we were told that we can only come in if we have booked even though it was empty!! we asked the lady a question and it took her about 25 minutes to come back

Visited on a Monday night and although understaffed the couple of waitresses covering all tables were very efficient and friendly. Food was brought out promptly and as always delicious. One of our family favourites as there is always something for everyone

The staff were very attentive. The double up was missed on the burger, the waiter kindly asked the chef to cook this for us and was served promptly. No wait for food and all tasted very nice.
