It must be ten years since I have visited a Harvester. I wasn't disappointed with the food we all had a good meal. However, there seemed some confusion and disorganisation with the staff. They were helpful and polite but totally run ragged. Apparently, no barman working so they were having to sort meals and drinks at the same time. Somewhat disorganised but polite and helpful. There was obviously a shift change and the new shift were not happy being left with chaos to sort out. Having said all that they did their best and we would go again.

Pontypool harvester is always a good place to eat. We were served very quickly by a lovely waitress called Erin and it was her first day and she was so polite and helpful. Food arrived quickly and was delicious The restaurant got very busy very quickly but waiting time didn’t seem to be affected. Very good indeed.

Food was lovely and hot. Very tasty and well presented. Waitress was polite, chatty and helpful. Nice quiet atmosphere in restaurant. Busy but not too much for staff to handle. Highly recommended.

Booked for 7 30 ,even then to Q to get In , once seated we asked for a wine list took 10 minutes to get that . Ordered straight away when when wine list arrived ,drinks and food , had to ask twice if our drinks were coming took at least 20 minutes, got told everyone must have ordered at the same time . Table opposite us came after us but got drinks and food before us . Garlic dough balls were very dry , when meal came 50 minutes later ,chicken and chips were luke warm , mushy peas with fish was a joke maybe a tea spoon full , overall very disappointed ????

First mistake was when we entered the pub we were left waiting at the entrance for about 5 minutes before being shown to our seat. There was no queue in front of us. Second mistake was that when I booked on line I asked to be seated next to a window. We were shown to a non window seat. When I told the staff that I had requested a window seat, we were shown to a window seat. The staff had obviously not read the booking information I had entered. We both had a chicken stack meal that was accompanied with fries. The pot of coleslaw was so tiny it was quite honestly a joke. When the meal was served at our table I asked for a drink refill. When the drink finally arrived it had taken so long to arrive I had actually finished my meal. Very very disappointed by the whole experience
