10/10Lovely welcoming , busy but didn’t have to wait for anything , lovely young lad on bar Connor was pleasant and helpful when choosing a red wine , waitress nice didn’t catch her name

7/10It's the first time that I have given a low rate normally I have always had good service. But it seems the staff where running around constantly plates left on table from the starter so was not enough room on the table as struggling for some space. The food was not the best this time as the elms is one of my favourites to dine. I have a special birthday coming up and I am in 2 minds to book the elms because of the last time being here as I have a big booking to make for family and friends so thinking about booking somewhere else

6.5/10Fresher salad bar needed, people use the disabled door to access the car park when they were not disabled, therefore the area was cold and so food went cold quicker. No problem with the service, the waitress was lovely and attentive. Moved us from the cold area when she could

5/10We arrived at 12.15 with only another family ahead of us. We ordered quickly as we had three small children and therefore was hoping for a speedy service. Our order was taken reasonably quickly but then we waited and waited and waited. The restaurant slowly filled up and other tables were being served so I enquired where our order might be. It's on its way I was told. We waited another twenty minutes and then I asked again. It arrived shortly after that. I believe pur order was either not processed properly or forgotten but, as you can perhaps appreciate, with children aged 1, 3 and 5 we were stressed and therefore our meal was spoilt but to add insult to injury my food was only warm, my sons food was inedible (macaroni cheese and garlic bread) so I probably won't be heading back in a hurry.

9/10Lovely waiter, lovely food, place lovely. Unfortunately our two favourite things have been taken off menu, Salmon & Cheesecake, so we wont been visiting every month as we usually do, it was very disappointing as we visit regularly.

8.5/10Enjoy going to the Harvester. Was quiet as 7pm on a Tuesday night. But we were served quickly and told we didn't have to rush through, which was nice. Salad bar was disappointing, lots needed replenishing and the lettuce had seen its best. But we'd still go back again.

7.5/10Very busy venue and very quirky, with lots of different floors, a few steps down. Salad bar isn't quite as good as pre COVID but that's par for most places. Main meal was tasty but not sure what the delay was in getting our salad bowls, as it was already sitting on the table when we got back from the salad bar. Staff really friendly and just attentive enough, considering how busy they were.

6.5/10Upon arriving, we found out, we were down the dungeon about three flights of stairs in a little room for 11th of us freezing cold to start with they had him a little fan heater on the floor we blocked the fire X it went and asked the lady at the front if we could be moved she said she would see the manager but never got back to us as most of my party was over 65 and up to 90 it was a bit much walking up and down the stairs to get the food from the salad bar When the food came to them were cold, so they took him back and to be fair, they sorted the problem out quickly

8.5/10Haven’t been to The Elms for some years but pleasantly surprised, very pleasant atmosphere, table waiter extremely amiable, good sense of humour, salad bar excellent and the whole lunch menu reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning more often.

5/10We booked at the Elms to treat my father and stepmother to a meal and didn’t want to make too much fuss at the time as this would have made the evening uncomfortable. Firstly the waitress took our order then came back to say that 2 of the six of us couldn’t have our chosen meal as there wasn’t any salmon so we had to choose something else. Then my two daughters both ordered off the tapas menu, a total of 5 dishes and asked for them to be brought out with the main meals. After the expected amount of time, the waitress brought out 3 of the tapas dishes, 2 for one of my daughters and one for the other. We received none of the other food for at least half an hour. My father has to chase the rest of the meals which still took another 10 minutes. When the rest of the food came out my stepmother has to send her fish cakes back as they tasted burnt. She tried to eat them but in the end had to return them. In the meantime, one of my daughters was eating her remaining 2 tapas dishes, all of which were vegetarian when she realised that one was actually chicken! She’d ordered some southern fried vegetarian sticks and had been given the buttermilk chicken, she’d had a few bites before realising, thank goodness she’s not strictly vegetarian! The disjointed delivery of meals resulted in one daughter eating he whole meal before anyone else’s had been delivered, another daughter having meat and my stepmother having to eat her recooked meal on her own when everyone else has finished. The recooked meal and the incorrect tapas dish were knocked off the bill but the whole experience was extremely disappointing. I don’t see my father very often and what was supposed to be a pleasant evening was thoroughly spoiled as my father had to chase up meals and complain about the food being delivered so far apart as well as over cooked and incorrect meals. The Elms is our local restaurant but this experience has really put us off using it again.

4/10I've always quite like the elms but after this experience won't be returning again. The service was poor. I asked for some bread rolls which were forgotten. The dessert arrived without custard. Needless to say I won't be returning any time soon

8/10Arrived a bit early, the staff member made it possible for us to be seated and our drinks served promptly. The young lady looking after us was very pleasant and efficient. Everyone enjoyed their food although a burger served was very hard like it had been cooked and left for a long time. Surrounding lovely although we all sat there feeling quite cold and other diners had their coats over their shoulders.
