8/10The food was not as hot as I like, and a child that was in our party ordered a child's steak which was full of gristle, but our request to change the food was dealt with with courteous customer service, and we didn't pay for this meal. We were there for our Granddaughter's birthday treat, and the staff were very obliging in providing candles for her pudding. Altogether a very pleasant experience.

10/10The food was really good, we were a party of 10 snd everyone enjoyed their food. We were the for my brother's birthday and he really enjoyed it there. The service was excellent and Claire made our evening special. Thank you Windsor Lad.

10/10We had a lovely experience and our waitress was kind and friendly. She was attentive, but not intrusive and we felt very relaxed. The breakfast was delicious and very well cooked. The poached eggs were great, and the portion sizes were generous. We will definitely come again. Jo and John Williams

The improvement I've seen in the quality of food, service and environment has far exceeded my ecldctations. I used to come here as s child and teen but in my adult years it declined for many years. But recently it has really improved and this is my 2nd visit in 3 months. I was also please with food portions and healthier options like grilled chicken skewers and rice. The salad bar was excellent and fresh too. The only let down was the ice machine breaking and the rolls not being warm.

3/10Phoned in the morning to add another person to our party that was booked for 4 , however no one answered, went online to add another person, then phoned up around 20 minutes before our arrival to be told they couldn’t fit another person in and that we would have to wait 2 hours before a table available, explained that I did it online to be told they have nothing on the system, not very helpful not prepared to try and accommodate us, had no alternative but to cancel my booking

8/10I had requested for easy seating as my elderly mother was also accompanying me so easy access to salad and easy comfortable seating as she has arthritis. We were given a tight booth and two flights of stairs to climb. I had called to ensure comfort but didn’t get it. Very disappointed.

6.5/102nd time in a week as first experience was great. This time the restaurant was very loud and it was difficult to talk across the table. Understandably lots of children as school holidays but adults were loud too making the experience uncomfortable and unsettling. No member of staff approached the loud families. Maybe the staff were intimated but the manager should not have been. Won't be booking again im afraid. Very disappointing.

9/10The waitress was very friendly and helpful, The food was excellent but we felt limited as we are not great eaters of steaks and the mixed grills had to much of mixed meat in them for us. the cost of the meal and drinks was very reasonable.

5.5/10Dining at the Windsor Lad.Overall disappointing decor needs a lot of attention now.Glasses and cutlery need to pay more attention to as they were dirty.Mentioned to staff and it was corrected..Food was adequate. Will not dine there again.

10/10Restaurant was busy, but we had booked. Value for money - I walked in and wobbled out. Only managed a main - but did have a massive bowl of salad and a roll. No room for dessert!!!!

10/10The Windsor Lad is a regular meeting place for my friend and I. We always get very good service from friendly smart staff members. The decor is clean and tidy with wooden beams. We usually get a Classic beef burger each which is very tasty and reasonably priced. A very nice afternoon in a very nice establishment.

10/10Kitchen got our steaks mixed up, but easy to swap over. Had an offer of 50% off mains, so indulged in a dessert and waddled out. Still cannot get my head around the staff serve you the salad, as end up with more than you would if done yourself, but can understand why.

8/10The staff were excellent, the service was also excellent. The food arrived quite quickly and it was hot. The disappointment was the salmon and dill fish cakes on the lunch time menu.........there was NO salmon only mash potatoe and dill !!!

4.5/10The waitress had poor product knowledge; didn’t know what beers were on tap. The food wasn’t great - I left 1/2 of my fish cakes & my partner’s steak was tough. It is unlikely we shall return.

6.5/10End of holiday dinner. The 2 pots of gravy delivered for our meals were cold, no staff near by so eventually got up and tracked one down. The replacements were not that much better, but decided a third attempt wasn't worth the effort. Little thing spoilt the evening enjoyment.
