Excellent
We had a fantastic time at Hawksmoor. The food was excellent and the staff brilliant. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and we'll definitely be back.
Staff were great, food out of this world and lots of space that allowed you to feel safe. The Sunday roast was incredible and great value for money.
Excellent food and excellent service. What more do you want? Staff were attentive and cheery, and even added some nice touches for my partner’s birthday.
It is very difficult to catch the eye of a waiter - they don't seem to be aware of people waving their arms etc. Two of them were chatting to each other and ignoring the diners. My husband and I walked out of here once before because of the poor service (before we ordered). I doubt I'd go back again.
It was a great meal and the staff were very attentive without being overbearing. They were accommodating when I had to email them directly to change the booking time.
Great service and really good food
Food as always was wonderful. Steak cooked to perfection!
A lovely experience but my steak was overcooked, took some time but the second attempt was delicious
Love The Hawksmoor. Staff are very good and knowledgeable. Due to an allergy dishes were explained to ensure nothing was ordered that could cause a problem. Food was excellent. The starter of Yorkshire puddings and potted beef is superb. Steaks cooked to perfection.
Fabulous surroundings, excellent rump steak main, best steak I’ve had for ages. BUT... why oh why do you spoil the ambience of such a sedate classy environment by playing screechy pop music??? I asked for a change, but was told it was a Hawskmoor playlist, carefully chosen to be a 'bit of everything'.... Noooo. If you can’t have quiet laid back jazz or classical, then even better than that is to play nothing, because you can’t please everybody. Also, I thought the waiting staff were very casually dressed - faded jeans and checked shirts. But again, it was the best steak ever! Pity about the ambience.
It's a great dining experience. Well worth going just for the building
IT WAS DISAPPOINTING. We arrived at 6.30pm and were one of the first people there. We ordered our meal and were told that the CHICKEN WOULD TAKE A BIT LONGER TO PREPARE!!! Over an hour later we were still sitting there, tired after working, wine nearly finished and eventually the food appeared. We could and should have complained however it leaves a low finish to a night. As avid eaters out at the best of restaurants and an expensive meal, it did not add up to expectations.
Very friendly staff, quick and efficient service and excellent food in abundance. You won’t leave hungry!,
Meal was excellent, I had the prawns as a starter, very nice then my son and I shared a porterhouse perfectly cooked with triple cooked chips. We shared a number of sides between the three of us who were dining
