5.5/10The staff all seemed very hassled and were rushing around. However, even with the rushing the service was quite slow. The food was very average, not what you would expect in a 4* hotel.

7.5/10Lovely little birthday treat for friends. Service for drinks very quick. Waited a while for afternoon tea to come but was lovely all the same. Staff very polite and welcoming. Staff helped with a car park too.

4.5/10we arrived for our booking at 1pm, stood at reservations desk for over 10 mins and nobody came to assist us, a member of staff looked over to us and just kept on walking to other desk.My husband ended up going to look for a staff member.They came got us a table then I told them I had a groupon voucher for the prosecco afternoon tea, they took a note of the code and left to go get us a pot of tea, that came but we had to wait another 5 to 10 mins for the food to arrive, they didn't explain what was on the sandwiches or what cakes we had.I then had to ask for the prosecco as that didn't arrive either.Later we had to ask for a refill of the pot of tea, the place was empty and it had no atmosphere or ambience about it at all.I love afternoon teas but this one wasn't up there with my favourites, shame as it was a surprise for my husbands 50th!

6/10Large booking for 19 which required us to pre-order. On arrival we were told our pre-order had been lost! So we had to give the order again. We waited 1 hour for drinks and an hour and a half for food! We had to chase several times sides were so late the main dish had been eaten by the time they arrived. Food came out 1 and 2 plates at a time. By the time the last dish arrived at the table others had finished their meal. 30% was deducted from the bill which still came to over £300, a lot of money for a poor service and experience. Very disappointing.

10/10A really nice restaurant downstairs at the hotel, that had a variety of dishes to choose from. Service was excellent and no rushing to get us to leave early.

10/10Our visit was a wedding gift. from arriving at the hotel through to our departure, we couldn't have asked for a better service. The whole hotel was immaculate, the food was perfect and the staff were all very polite and friendly. My husband and I will certainly be using the hotel again in the future.

5.5/10Ideal location for a pre-concert meal but restaurant lacks atmosphere and feels cheap for a high end hotel. Gluten free options should be more extensive and on menu not a separate piece of paper given to the guest to cross-reference with the menu! There turned out to be ONE option. Food took 45mins to arrive and was mediocre. Pulled chicken shawarma came as pieces of chicken making it very awkward to assemble and eat. Oven chips served with blue gingham greaseproof paper felt more diner than hotel dining especially as prices were on the higher end of city centre dining. Sadly a very average experience and not what we expected especially as we’re fans of the gin bar in the same hotel.

4/10Had a table booked for 9pm, waitress came to take my order straight away as I needed to order before the kitchen shut! Why let me book a table at the same time the kitchen is closing then? Two different people tried to remove my plate before finishing, not impressed!

6/10Service I couldn’t fault. We had afternoon tea and the cakes and scones were mostly very dry, couldn’t butter the scones they just crumbled they were so stale .

6/10There was a calm and relaxing environment. The food way okay however the pizza I had I wasn’t expecting the crust to be filled with sauce?! Was expecting cheese. The lemonade was flat and had no flavour. Very expensive considering we didn’t really like it

6.5/10The staff were great, really attentive and very polite. Looking at the menu and seeing the prices I expected a superb meal. Unfortunately the steak I ordered as medium/rare was served as medium/well done. The quality of the steak was it’s saving grace. The chips were also overly greasy and some under cooked to the point of being hard in the middle. It’s a shame because the rest of the experience was great.

6/10Dinner was part of a Xmas present off my daughter, sadly…definitely wasn’t worth the money, dried up butterfly chicken, chips tasted like old potato’s. Sadly not the best at all for a beautiful hotel of its decor and ambience.

7.5/10We were very disappointed that the menu that was advertised on the website was not the same menu as that offered in the restaurant and a lot more expensive. Not sure why this was as one of the waitresses said she had worked there 6 months and didn’t even know of this other ‘website’ menu. If we visit this hotel again we will NOT be eating in the hotel restaurant.

5/10Food was lovely. The service was not. We were ignored upon arrival while staff worked out whatever they were looking at on their system. When seated in a near empty restaurant, we made a food order and drinks order. By the time my wine arrived (in a dirty glass with lipstick stains) I’d received and enjoyed my full meal. Genuinely, food was lovely though.

6.5/10I book Sunday lunch in the restaurant only to be told when I arrived it was only afternoon tea so we ate a toasted sandwich in the gin bar. I should have been told when I booked the restaurant only opened in the evening my booking should not have been taken. The staff were amazing.

2/10Food was disgusting. Afternoon tea had obviously been left all day, sandwiches were hard, scones could have knocked someone out and the cake was disgusting. We were only offered one drink in the whole time we were there. Disgusting!

6.5/10I asked for a Negroni and was told that the bar wasn’t able to do one. My husband asked for a non alcaholic cocktail. Again the bar couldn’t do it. The main course was fine. I had raspberry tart with a strawberry that had obviously been cut with a knife that had also cut an onion. My husband had to ask twice for a coffee. The bill charged me for the Negroni, which I did get refunded. Wouldn’t go back which is a shame in such a lovely hotel.

6/10Once the food arrived it was amazing. The service and waiting time was diabolical. When we eventually got seated and placed our order it took a further 40 mins wait for our bread and olives to arrive. Our drinks order was then taken and took a further 30 mins to arrive. Unfortunately the service on this occasion was awful.But the food once arrived was amazing

7/10Ordered a bottle of wine. Got brought a completely different bottle of wine, but nothing said to us. When questioned that it wasn’t the wine ordered we were told that it was no longer in stock. The bottle brought out to us was not even on the menu.

10/10The staff here were brilliant. Nothing was a bother to them. They were pleasant and courteous and were really good in asking if our little girl was OK and if she needed anything, even getting her a yoghurt when she was asking us for one and we were telling her we didn't have one lol. We had afternoon tea and the food was fresh and delicious and it was a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely come again.
