    A fresh salad with mixed greens, roasted butternut squash, nuts, and balsamic reduction, alongside a succulent piece of chicken in creamy sauce, served with chargrilled asparagus and carrots.
    Rich chocolate cake served with warm caramel sauce, topped with creamy vanilla ice cream and garnished with crushed nuts.

    Everything was perfect. The service was really friendly and the food was amazing, especially the toffee pudding- huge recommendation 🍮

    So pleased that we found this little gem situated just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Quiet and cosy atmosphere with an attentive and knowledgeable waiter. Not a vast menu but plenty enough to choose from including a daily specials board. The food was beautifully cooked and presented well. We would definitely return.

    What a find! We booked Hot Toddy because I had Yums credit and thought we would give it a try. Service was excellent from the moment we arrived. Food was amazing. Venison was cooked to perfection and haggis, neeps & tatties went down a treat! The cheese board was one of the best diverse selections I have had without being overloaded- a perfect plate. Coffee was lovely. We didn’t have wine but the Jamaican Mule cocktail was a treat. Don’t miss out on this wee gem if you’re in Edinburgh

    Super nice staff nice interior decor but disappointed with lunch.The risotto was tasty but too salty for myself. My husband had chargrilled chicken foccaccia which if it hadn't been part of the Fork Festival would have been expensive for what he got.We saw people having ribeye steak and that looked delicious.

    I visited today Hot Toddy with my partner for the first time today for brunch and our experience was fabulous. We were greeted by a friendly and happy waitress (didn't catch her name but she was wearing a grey jumper) who was helpful and let us choose where to sit as it wasn't overly busy. We ordered ribeye steak and the farmhouse focaccia, both of which were cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. The restaurant has a very modern and clean feel to it and we would be sure to return. My partner and i both agreed that the steak at Hot Toddy was even cooked better than Kyloe so keep up the good work.

    The staff was very good, courteous. The only reason I have given 4 stars for the food is that, almost the ones we ordered were not available. They have a very few choices for the brunch and I think they don't have enough stock to serve for the duration of the brunch.

    Arrived are reserved time. No welcome. Put in a side room in front of serving hatch. Given no menus until asked for them. Ordered trio of dips. Not great. Ordered Rib Eye and Salmon. Rob Eye was nice. Nothing special. My wife asked for Salmon to be "cooked through" Salmon was raw inside. Send it back. My wife had to wait 12 minutes. Chef called out " the salmon has been in the oven for 10 minutes" Embarrassing. The second salmon was again raw in the middle. My wife sent it back. Disaster as was an anniversary dinner. I would say the reason there is a limited menu is that they can't cook... The wine was nice.

    Amazing experience! The food was delicious, with lovely presentation and nice portions. Everyone working at the restaurant was extremely friendly and they made it even more special with a candle on the dessert for my birthday.

    The food is extremely good. I had the fresh caught salmon, and my husband had the duck leg...both excellent and cooked perfectly. However, our meals were delivered after about 45 minute wait time, which our server apologized for. The problem was that she delivered late meals to the table next to us and compensated them with 2 free glasses of wine, which she did NOT offer to us even though we waited even longer for our meals. But, once again, the food was delicious.
