The service and views were excellent. We had the tasting menu with peking duck. It started off so well with the chef coming out and slicing our duck at the table. However the timings on the rest of the tasting menu were not great with most of the food coming out at the same time which made the meal feel rushed and also quite difficult to order the right wines for the courses. For example they brought out an amazing lobster dish at the same time as the chilli beef. The food itself was great but just the whole risk and cadence of the evening a little off. It would be easy to fix if Hutong were happy to listen. Asset from that a great evening in a great surroundings and ambiance.

We have been to Hutong a few times. Unfortunately this time I was very let down. It was my husband’s birthday. When I tried to let the woman showing us to our table know, she cut me off and said” don’t worry, we have all the info “ I thought they had record of his last birthday there. We had our meal, and left without having my husband’s birthday recognised. I was very upset.

Was expecting great things. Found the whole experience a little underwhelming. Very officious door staff at the ground entrance clearly haven't trained in service. I understand you are protecting a landmark but if you are the first point of reference maybe they should hone their skills. Our main waitress Shan was lovely. Found the other staff very nonchalant and disinterested. The prices are very top heavy and for that I expect top drawer food. It was very nice but not mind blowing as you would expect. There are plenty better Chinese in London-Wongs, Hunan, Hakkasan, Yauatcha to name but a few. You are paying to dine in the Shard however the whole experience was all a little ordinary.

The staff was OK not more not less. The food wasn't great for the price you pay. A small bol of steamed rice at £10 I found that excessive when it should accompany the main dish. Only 2 type of dessert available. No fresh fruit juice. All. In all OK for one visit but won't visit again if I have to pay full price

Extremely poor food, delivered tepid warm. Crispy duck brought out by chef who didn't say a word wearing a pair of plastic gloves. The hygiene of which I would seriously question Shabby crockery and glasses and big average service See ice charge to have a bottle of wine at the dirty bar, and be ignored! What a cheek that is Tourist trap. Avoid

The place is great, the service was good but the food was average and massively overpriced. The £65 a head option for 3 of us was effectively 3 very small items as a starter (What seemed like 2 mushroom types and what was supposed to be lobster). They were all effectively the size of a large bon bon and we had just 3 each. OK let's wait for the main meal then. 3 main meals of which one was a quarter duck sliced at the table beautifully, to share between 3! A quarter between 3 is so stingy. We had some pancakes and such with it but it was measly. The other 2 dishes consisted of a prawn dish (There were 6 prawns between 3 of us remember and it was very hot as a dish as well. I like chillis and hot food so we ate it but the 3rd dish, changed because my wife has an allergy to beef, was a chicken dish in chillis. When I say in chillis I mean the whole plate consisted of chilli so we couldn't really eat it because it was so hot. We had a dessert of sorbet and a chocolate dish, which was nice but we would not come again as our local chinese takeaway has better food. Next time we are in London we decided to go to Chinatown as, whilst they can be abrupt the food is better and the quantities are not those for a supermodel.

The location was excellent, as was the quality of the food. For the location the cost was acceptable, but we chose the venue because of a special celebration and made the point on the online booking. We were offered a table away from the windows, but after asking to be moved a table was eventually found. The service was not bad but did not reflect the attentive care expected when paying top price for your food. I would also have expected staff to make an effort when a celebration such as a Birthday.

The dim sum was great but wow the main dishes was salty my girlfriend was Trying to be nice and not say anything as not to make feel bad taking her there, she had to laugh seeing my face trying to eat the meal that cost £45 per main dish, in the end I had to give up. Super disappointed. Great service though, they should also get chair that don’t feel like the wooden school chairs.

The waiter we had kept on stretching over us to serve food and collect empty plates. Also the cup I had my mint tea in was cracked. Apart from that the food was excellent and the views were stunning

I was hungry and in need of Chinese food next to London Bridge. The view is obviously stunning, the food is fresh ans they look good. But I was too hungry to devour the scenery, so definitely for dates and business and might not be the best place for hungry Chinese man.

It was to loud. Service - Nobody ask if you like a second drink. Food. Maincourses where horrible - everything taste the same hot hot hot - and look the same - red roasted peppers.
