Some food is quite oily and smell the oil. We sat in the upper floor and the service was ok but can be improved as too many customers but less staff to serve. Thank you.

2.5/10The waitress did not know what "vegan" means even after I clearly explained what I could and could not eat. I ordered tofu and vegetable on rice and she brought me a plate of boiled rice and boiled vegetables with just salt on it. As I was in a rush and did not have time to speak with the manager I just asked for some soy sauce to add on top of it. She refused to give it to me because it was not "gluten free" and went away. If you are vegan/vegetarian or have allergies avoid this place!

10/10When we arrived at the restaurant they had no record of our review. So this is a review of the restaurant, not of Fork which was a waste of time. I’ve been going to JKL for years but not for several years. When we turned up with 15 people and a lost booking they took the whole thing in their stride and opened up the first floor for us and we had a wonderful time. Everything was perfect and my friends and I had a lovely time.

5/10We sat in the downstairs, which felt functional at best. The service was prompt, but curt. The quality of the food was okay, but it was tepid at best, and lacked a depth of flavour. Pricey for what it was, but fine for a quick refuel.

2/10I’ll be completely honest, by far the worst Chinese restaurant I’ve been too, overpriced and the service was shocking. It’s a tourist trap clearly, I’ve had far better takeaways on a weekend. Do not recommend.

8.5/10We were having a meal before the theatre and had a table upstairs. The restaurant was very accommodating in making sure we ate on time and the waitress was particularly helpful with planning our menu as there were 9 of us.

5/10The food was okay. The shrimp dumplings were delicious but everything else we had - duck with pancakes, pork dumplings, crispy fried beef, shumai - was pretty mediocre. Pancakes were cold. Beers were served without a glass. Service seemed inexperienced (though the manager did step in to help a few times). Will not return.

10/10I was so glad I had booked this delightful Chinese restaurant for an early evening meal after the theatre as it was a hot day & the air conditioning helped us cool down inside a very pleasant white table clothed & not cramped room, delicious food & attentive staff .

10/10We travelled from devon for the day and chose JKL for lunch from the web site. We do not often go to London and find a lot of Soho chinese restaurants bland and food being mediocre .We had a friend with us who enjoyed the lunch and happy to go back (he is 82 years of age and fussy about the food ) We recommend JKL and on our next trip London we shall eat there again.

2/10I’ve always enjoyed this restaurant and recommend it to friends but tonight the food was mediocre and the service was terrible. A long time after finishing our meal we asked the waiter for the bill. We waited a long time and then got up to stand by the door ready to pay. After a while we spotted our waiter and asked to pay. He hold us to wait. I said he had been waiting and we wanted to pay and leave. He continued taking out the bins and then brought our bill. As we took a moment to decide how to pay, the waiter said he didn’t think we were in such a hurry as we had time to discuss payment. I asked him to repeat what he said which he did. I was outraged that he would be so rude after the poor service we had received. It’s disappointing as I’ve always liked this restaurant. I won’t be returning.

5.5/10Afraid the food is not as good as it was before Covid :( The staff were also rude and not accommodating / not flexible. Not a pleasant experience at all. I used to frequent this restaurant every time I am in London but believe this would be my last.
