Food was good but I had higher expectations from this place. Staff was friendly and welcoming but one of the waitresses was sick/coughing a lot and that was a turnoff for eating.

10/10Best Chinese in London! Maybe more. Certainly up there with Mr. Wing in Sydney. Memorable food, knock your socks off Hot & Sour Soup, wonderful mains. Beautiful and delicious desserts. Lovely atmosphere. Very comfortable and professional service, knowledgeably and pleasantly delivered. PS. Deliciously Cool Cocktails while watching Mayfair life go by.

The small starters we very tasty especially prawn toasts and the wasabi prawns The aubergine wasn’t so good but everything else was very tasty! The service was perfect! The only downside is the music was a bit too repetitive… But overall great place Thanks

10/10From the moment we entered Kai we felt at home. The staff was incredible and very personable. The food was amazing... and the decor was very tastefully done. Definitely a must-try for anyone who has not been before!

9.5/10Enrique made the entire experience great from start to end, from offering me the table I wanted, ensuring my dessert came first, and moving the meal forward with welcoming, friendly service even though it wasn't part of his role. Food excellent! And the coconut mango lychee by the beach exceeded expectations

10/10I had a great culinary experience at Kai today. I ordered squid as a starter. It was mouthwatering. As a main course we shared a crispy duck- highly recommend!!! Overall we had a wonderful food and will be back soon!

8.5/10The food was lovely specially the starters. We ordered wasabi prawns, press on toast and chicken lettuce wraps. For mains Scottish beef was the best, the chicken stir fry had a little smell but wasn’t too bad.. the spring chicken was nice too. The portions are quite small so you need to order generously The chocolate grows on trees dessert was the highlight. The durian and vanilla soufle was not something i wouldn’t recommend anyone, had the worst smell ever. The service was good and staff were extremely polite. The place has a very nice and cosy ambiance. Overall i had a great time and would definitely come back soon.

+1The place was nice, I expected it to be nicer. The service was excellent. We ordered the vegetarian hot and sour soup, perfect, pepper wagyu was very good, ginger and sesame oil rice was great so was the creme brulee and the complimentary desserts were the best. Been to many expensive restaurants around the world but I think this was the most Ive paid per person. Would revisit for the food.

10/10Very accommodating - I was running late and rung to advise we'd be max 30 minutes late. This was no problem and no rush to leave the table The sommelier deserves a special shoutout. The wine list is extensive and has some fantastic wines at very reasonable prices. His advice was second to none. Food was beautifully presented and complex as you'd expect from a michelin star restaurant

9/10Not your ordinary Chinese restaurant! Had a very good lunch at Kai: the open bao buns (starter) were beautifully cooked and presented; the chicken with chilli and cashew nuts was tasty, with a nicely balanced heat; the noodles were okay but a slight let down next to the other dishes, being on the stodgy side. The lychee lemonade I had to drink was refreshing, but a bit expensive for what it was. The service couldn’t be faulted, and the ambience was well judged.

5/10Beautiful and colorful restaurant interior. The food presentation was very artistic and dynamic, with table-side service providing the finishing touches. The food, although prepared beautifully, was in my opinion, just okay. The lunch service itself, on the day my party and I dined was sub-par for a Michelin-star restaurant. With only half of the restaurant occupied then, I had expected a more attentive staff.

9.5/10It's my first time at Kai. It won't be my last. A combination of remembered flavours and modern takes on classics. Winn (restaurant manager) and his team are very professional and polite, but never stiff. Plenty of smiles, being made welcome and conversations had. The wine list is great and we really enjoyed a couple of the Chinese wines on offer. If you're going, The roast Chilean sea bass and the 18 hour pork belly are winners. As is the seared beef starter.

10/10We went here for a birthday celebration. The service was, in the most part, really good. (We spent a few minutes trying to get staff attentino to get our bill our bill before we left). They were knowledgeable about the food, wine and kept us informed of dishes that were available and ones that take slightly longer. The food was excellent, every course we had was expertly made and very tasty. The portions weren't huge, but we both left very satisfied and comfortably full. 3 courses each and a glass of wine all came in under £200, we were also both given a free top up of our drinks, which was nice. Highly recommended.

8.5/10Good things ..food...the hot and sour soup one of best ever had ...the dessert fantastic ( on the beach) ...the fish "stack" (pre starter) while very good felt the "strack" part had been sitting in fridge...main course while arrived hottish, by time got through halfway cold Bad ..my god fastest Chinese in the world, asked to go slower they sped up!!! Then (hate this) finished waited and waited for Bill Hadd to ask ??? Why after 1st 3 course served in 30 mins!! Example asked for their in house "get u going" cocktail...food turned up about a minute later So Mayfair London Michellan prices for fastest Michellan experience ever
