Excellent ..didn't seem to have booking registered !!sorted
Booked lunch for a special birthday. Had some difficulty finding which entrance to use as never thought it would be through the grand Savoy entrance but it was! All the people who were working were so lovely and made us feel special even tho we all turned up at different times. We had some issue with the booking being one set price but this was not available the weekend before Christmas but the Head Waiter sorted that out and agreed we could pay the advertised price. Unfortunately they then charged us for an extra person which I didn’t spot as I was trying to look cool when we got the bill. Tbh it was still worth it, it couldn’t have been nicer. Would definately recommend but check the bill !!!!
A great evening. The food and ambience was lovely. Although they were extremely busy due to the proximity to Christmas, the service was excellent.
We really enjoyed the dinner last night. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly.
We went to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary, The food and service was truly wonderful and will shall definitely be returning.
A wonderful experience from the minute you walk through the door. Great attention to detail. We were lead to a beautiful table overlooking the Thames and the waiter was excellent. The lobster bisque and pumpkin soup with won ton for starters were delicious and our sea bass and caviar main course was yum. Highly recommend a visit.
Beautiful experience- delicious food and impeccable service.
A very good dining experience. Arrived at 11.50 and asked to wait for our noon booking but then noon came and went without being attended to so just walked into the restaurant ourselves. Not the most impressive start to proceedings at a 5 star hotel
Seafood is great, we had caviar, lobster bisque, crab and the scallops were a dream. So I highly recommend for seafood. But everything else ... no no no. The beef had no flavour, the sauces were thick. But the worst had to be the ice cream. Even the cocktails were not well balanced. Please taste your ice cream before sending it out. It was worst than diabetic ice cream there was no taste to it. Overall, pricey for what we got. And Michelin star was certainly for seafood but not much else. Have dined at both the Ritz and Savoy, but will go back to the Ritz for exceptional all rounded experience.
We were a party of 10 and we all were very happy with the set menu which was delicious, fairly portioned and presented. The service was flawless, the wine good. We had also the company of Kaspar on our table to bring lots of of smiles to our night. All of this in the magnificent surrounds of The Savoy.
Great food, lovely environment and very attentive staff. A very enjoyable afternoon
Very poor. Average food at top end prices. Bread was of average supermarket standard, served cold and slightly stale, blinis with crab starter were cold, scallop starter served with raw butternut squash that was supposed to be cooked. Main course fillet steak over cooked and desserts verging on inedible. Priced for excellence but poor to average delivery.
The setting was fantastic, truly lovely. The service was very slightly above average. The food was mixed, my starter (beetroot & burata) superb. My main course less than average ( mushroom risotto), I only ate the mushrooms, the rice flavor was poor. Husband indicated his main course (a farmed fish) was average. Only 2 choices of main course, one I was allergic to -any farmed fish and the 2nd risotto, worse than average. I could have gone to the main menu but booked for the advertised special and it was not special. Clearly the server saw I had not eaten my meal but did not even ask why. The bread was average. Even the little complimentary sweets at the end of the meal were poor for the caliber of restaurant we were dining in.
We very much enjoyed the evening at the Savoy, good menue and exciting food.
Service was impeccable.food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The ambience was cosy and not too busy. Will definitely be back
