visited Saturday evening, 25th January. It was a surprise birthday treat for my best mate. I wanted something special and Kerridges delivered! More impressive than I had hoped for on every level. Mate was really bowled over. Excellent, classy dining experience.

There was a nice vibe in the bar and restaurant, the food was amazing and the service excellent. I had 2 courses and my husband had 3 and with a half carafe of wine each the bill was £325, worth every penny. We will be returning.

From stepping through the front door to exiting at the end, the whole experience was amazing. Staff were attentive but not overbearing and seemed genuinely keen to make the whole meal a lovely, relaxed and enjoyable experience. Ambience was spot on with good music at the right level, lighting perfect and decor modern and luxurious. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed their different dishes, really mouthwatering. Not cheap but excellent value-for-money.

The service was amazing however the food was very uninspiring . The lobster thermidor was probably the smallest lobster I have ever seen or eaten . The sides were over salted and the mushroom tart was just bland. Everything was just about average or above average . Nothing for us to say “wow must come back here”! A bit if a let down .

Firstly it was freezing in the restaurant The steak was fatty and was mostly left and not eaten It’s really disappointing that your main courses come with new potatoes and some very undercooked carrots and yet when we requested to have chips with our steak instead of boiled potatoes which are a very strange choice , if you’re having steak,, we were told we would be charged £9 extra per portion of chips, which we did pay for but it seems ridiculous that you can’t swap one potato for another given that most people want steak with chips and it felt just a moneymaking scheme in our opinion Wouldn’t return

Service was good but I was a bit disappointed with the food.. pate was lovely but brioche with it was not. monk fish was tough and the steak was nice but not fantastic which I was expecting for the price. We were also charged for a champagne cocktail that I didn’t have.
