Excellent
In pouring rain, on the night London had just been moved into Tier 3, this was an oasis of calm, friendly service, efficient and safe, but also Christmassy and glamorous, lovely lights, lovely food. made it all feel better.
The food was sublime and the service impeccable. We enjoyed three courses and some excellent cocktails. Certainly not a cheap night, but a must for the special occasion
Fantastic food but alcohol absolutely extortionate and for that reason wouldn’t eat there again!
The triple fried chips were fantastic and the best part of the meal! Chef needs to pay more attention to how the Rib main course is sent out. Sorry, too dry and probably overheated. On reflection, the dish presentation looked uninteresting compared to the menu description. Yes I would return.
the staff, were very attentive, and helpful, food was excellent, would recommend. went with my mum, who really enjoyed it, as not been to London since January 2020, so was a lovely , and we always try different restaurants up town.
Superb restaurant with meticulous attention to detail. Favourite restaurant in London and can’t wait to be back. Friendly knowledgeable staff
The best place to eat the tastiest food with lovely friendly staff.
The food was nice, the there was a unusual taste of music And as the evening went on the temperature got so hot it was unbearable, that I needed to step outside for 10 to cool down, when I asked if this was normal the waiter wasn’t aware that it was hot even though he had beads of sweat on his forehead.
Great Sunday lunch. Nice atmosphere despite COVID situation.
We visited yesterday and had a very warm welcome and we was the first two in but it did get busier . Skipped a starter and had the cod which was lovely my wife had the plaice also lovely but the star was the garlic hispi cabbage . The dessert of chocolate and peanut paris brest was sublime .. the staff are fantastic here in a lovely setting
Second visit and not disappointed. Great food, great service, very attentive, relaxed and a superb environment........ We will definitely be back.
Very good and great service. Lovely meal also, dined reasonably early but was still a nice atmosphere and lively. Would definitely recommend to friends.
A tricky one to write, this. I’ll go good then less good. The cod main course was superb, memorably good. It managed to be rich and tasty but somehow light and tender. Really, all the sides and everything were excellent quality. OK, so no into the bits that didn’t suit me. First off, there was no one to greet us when we arrived. I do expect that when you’re paying top whack. Next was the music which was far too loud to relax, especially given the challenging acoustics of e beautiful building. Of course music is personal taste but it seemed to be a ‘northern soul’ inspired mix which may be fun but wasn’t relaxing on a Sunday night. Generally I’d say I expect the music to be as sophisticated as the food. And this was so annoying I’d think about not going back. In summary, great food, ambience less so. It was £135 for two main courses, some sides and a glass of wine each.
My friend and I chose this restaurant for our first post lockdown lunch together. The food was amazing - it looked and tasted delicious. The staff were very welcoming and friendly plus were extremely accommodating when my friend wondered if she could change her starter from the plat du jour. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very elegant but relaxed and the acoustics were great by which I mean, the chatter of other tables did not carry as it does in some establishments. Can't wait for my partner to take me then I can go to town on the a la carte menu!!!
Great atmosphere. Excellent drink and food selection, delicious food. Good attentive service.
Very relax atmosphere and staff very welcoming. Food amazing will definitely be returning on another occasion.
Fabulous setting. Great service. Fine dining. Couldn't want for more. If I have just one criticism it would be the choice of background music was a little too much with rock music playing quite loudly.....but that is very picky.
Very disappointed in the food , limited choice on set menu of two dishes , batter on the fish very greasy so couldn’t eat it. Desserts £13.50 not worth it , blackberry soufflé bland and chocolate dessert minuscule.
brilliant from beginning to end
