10/10Delicious food, very pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. Spacious and elegant restaurant with good acoustics and only very soft background music. Resonably priced too, in respect of the quality and service. Greatly recommended.

8/10We really loved the calm, unhurried ambience, and especially the fact that it is possible to hold a cross table conversation without intrusive music. The background music was appreciated .

6.5/10The menu needs improvement as it’s difficult to place order unless you have tasted the dish before. Lack of pictures make it difficult for a new visitor. I had a terrible experience with one of the dishes as it was full of fried red chilies and the staff was not helpful but blaming “it’s what you ordered”

7.5/10Having lived in HK for ten years i miss good Dim Sum. You normally have to go to Chinatown in London for decent Dim Sum. As I work in the City it is great having a restaurant that at Cannon Street that has very authentic Dim Sum. The food is very good and pretty reasonable. Would recommend.

10/10Kirin has an extensive menu. Although the set menus appear quite expensive, the individual dishes are fairly priced. The food was superb with wonderful flavour. The service was faultless and I would highly recommend this restaurant. Conveniently located close to Cannon street station.

4/10We've been to Kirin numerous times but I fear tonight was the last time. We oredered the duck, which on previous occasions was delicious, and instead of slices of duck meat we got shredded duck meat from I assume the day before. The only resemblance to Peking duck were the pancakes and sauce served with it. The only thing worse than the duck was the slow and inattentive service. We had to wait for an hour for our mains to be served, and once our dessert was served, we had to ask them for clean plates and to clear the dirty ones from the table. We also had to ask them several times to refill our water glasses... Very disappointed as this was one of our favourite Chinese restaurants in London, but I'm afraid we've had enough.

6.5/10Quite odd and mixed service but overall under par. Not syncronised at all and interrupting when I was relaxing having dinner by myself when I was obviously listening to a podcast and enjoying the food. I understand if the restaurant is super busy then they want to turn tables as quick as possible but I felt a bit pressured to eat up fast which was not the best feeling. The roasted duck was excellent. The spicy sichuan dumplings were very average/poor but perhaps for the price it was okay. Asahi was originally poured super flat. Overall it was a nice meal but service certainly let me down.

They served us some of the best Peking Duck we have ever had. We're from San Francisco, and their version was superior to what we get in California. And wonderful friendly service, too.

4/10Beside the noises environment and greasy menus, we have ordered soups for each person and 3 main dishes and noodles. One of the main dishes was served first when the soup should be the starter, then the noodles came secondly. I never had experience that noodles/ rice served before soup. The food quality was disappointing as well, the beef short ribs was really ribs and chewy. The golden prawn was heavy buttered and pale, the steam aubergine in the really salty sauce.

8/10Staff were good. We hadn't met in ages so had a lot of catching up to do and they gave us time. However, once we ordered the food it all arrived about the same time and could have done with some pacing out. The Xiao long bao were disappointing, small, hardly any soup, and no ginger and vinegar accompaniment. You're supposed to let them cool a bit so the soup doesn't burn your mouth but in doing so they stuck to the paper and as I said there wasn't really any soup. The pan fried dumplings didn't have any soup either. They took the top from the steamer basket for the pancakes to go with the crispy duck which I think it's better to keep so they don't get cold. The best dish we ordered was the dandan noodles which was tasty and generous. Apart from a group who got quite loud acoustics was good. I'm getting old so noisy restaurants are a no no! I would go back for the noodles and service.

10/10The portions were smaller than expected. The one main dish came separately with 20 mins gap (basically we were done eating). So it felt like we were having a dessert as the main… other than that the food was in a great quality.

7.5/10Food was very good, but the service soo slow. Ordered our dishes, one dish was served to table then nothing for twenty minutes. Dish was taken away because it was getting cold. Then waited & waited for one dish to be served, then waited for ten minutes for other dishes
