10/10Amazing place! Food was so delicious, never ate carbonara that good! Owner of the place is truly one of the best owners I ever met. He was more that happy to talk with us about his restaurant, delicious food and we find out that every products he is buying is homemade or they doing it themselves! So finaly a place where you can eat good quality food ❤️ and Christmas’s decorations stole my heart, you’ve can feel very cozy and welcome in La Doc. Truly one of my favourite places and definitely coming back! ❤️

10/10Half of our group arrived 20mins early & due to travel issues the others arrived 40mins late however we were looked after really well by staff & the meat & cheese sharing platter was amazing whilst we waited. Everyone enjoyed their meals which included calves liver, seafood pasta, pizza with some having space for dessert (tiramisu especially went down well). Lovely atmosphere & friendly, attentive service

Hi Tricia Thank you for your review. However it was a specific request to have extra salty Sicilian ricotta on pasta Norma. Of course it would be saltier than usual. We tend to put the right quantity so you can enjoy it at your best Regards, Gaerano

6/10Our server didn’t check if all was well, ever. Not particularly friendly He gave us a desert menu then came back and told us many items were not available. My husband had salmon pasta it was tiny portion with a very small pieces of slightly burnt bread on the side. I had mushroom risotto which looked like long grain rice with mushrooms and garlic lt Tasted ok but looked odd. Not the best risotto I’ve had I don’t like mismatched plates either. For what we ate I thought it was expensive We’ve been to other Italian restaurants close by and they have been much better overall.

Dear Madam Thank you for taking your time to review us. Let me just say that if you don’t mind we are your host and not your “servant”. I did ask my staff that have great reviews about being friendly and attentive and they are the same usual people and I fully trust my staff and apparently they remember you and asking if all was going well. They also remember that the dishes were fully eaten. However, I am sure you have great relationship with the the “other Italian restaurants close by and will be much better for you and your husband to continue to go there considering the wide choice in the area as we don’t meet your standards” Regards, Gaetano

9/10The restaurant was lovely with a nice intimate feel. You could teel that the food was made with good quality fresh produce and the flavours were delicious. We had very good recommendations for wine and the service was very good.

9/10Great local Italian, warm welcome, good wines and cocktails, lovely lights. Some lighter dishes missing in the menu is my only reserve ... Cacio e pepe? Carpaccio di bue? Vitello tonnato? Tricolore? But the ambiance is what's best!

6.5/10The italian dishes (we ordered 2 entrees, 2 main dishes, 2 desserts to sample) are reasonable in terms of taste but not something that would surprise us. Many of the dishes seem to follow a more creamy, buttery taste rather than lean Mediterranean cuisine. The total bill with 2 glasses of house wine came to about 100 GBP.
