10/10What a great Italian restaurant. We’ve just come back from a trip to Puglia and Milan and we felt like we were back in Italy in this restaurant. Fabio is a fantastic host and his mother’s recipe for tiramisu is simply the best. Bellissimo.

9.5/10Stumbled across this little gem one lunchtime. The staff were very warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, one of ghe nicest pasta dishes I've had in a long time. It's not a restaurant so there are no frills but it's a very pleasant authentic Italian deli/cafe. All of the other customers were Italian which speaks volumes

10/10I was so glad to have found this gem of a place! We loved the food. We had a set of croquettes, the spinach ravioli, the ragu tagliatelle, and the parma ham pizza - everything we ordered was delicious. Reasonably priced and good portions too. The ambience was lovely. Walking into the place felt like coming back home - nostalgic and warm. And the service was brilliant. We were tended to all the way, everyone was friendly, and Fabio was a delight! My heart and stomach were full at the end of the evening. Will definitely go again.

About the restaurant
Piola is not an Italian word, but is our dialect to describe a rural family run eatery, a destination for the families in the village.
We open early for coffees and breakfasts then from 12.00 noon light lunches from the deli counter and a freshly cooked small menu with specialty dishes from our region.
We source authentic Italian and regional ingredients plus the support of local Yorkshire suppliers.
