7/10Service was very willing & polite but there were some miscommunications with our order. The food was hearty & straightforward & enjoyable . It is a venue for a quick rather than a lengthy meal- more cafe style.

7/10If you are looking for ambience, Lantern is not the place - it's very small and basic furnishings, but the food was good, at an excellent price due to the Fork Festival, and the staff friendly.

10/10The food was good and our waitress was very good and friendly. Portion sizes were generous and it has a good choice of menu items to choose from especially with the discount they offer. It is a pity for them that the location of the restaurant itself is not brilliant (although once inside it was a modern clean environment) so there was plenty of room when we turned up for lunch. It is however really handy for Farringdon station (especially if you know the "short cut " via Peter Street) so worth a visit.

I visited for the second time. The quality is the same. I always order chicken wings. They are really delicious. I also tried the fried ice cream dessert which is also very special.

7/10the food was good. the service was quite slow but they were really nice in suggesting food. the only thing is later that I calculated the 30% off wasnt really applied. they just charged a bit higher and cut 30% on that making the total what it actually should have been without the discount. thats a bit unfair.

The dishes are amazing as always. Useful tip is to let the chef knows if you like the food spicer and it can be cooked as such. Will come back again.

2.5/10The Fork deal (50%) is NOT as advertised at all. The server informed that the discount could only be applied to the main and signature rice dishes (two sections), only after clarification. After they took our order of two mains, they returned and said there was a minimum spend of £20 per person required, after the discount, and asked us to order full priced sides and drinks to top it up. 5mins later they changed this to a minimum of £20 per table. When the food came, it was poorly seasoned. The duck dish was cloyingly sweet, and the mapo tofu dish did not have any flavour and was completely bland. The boiled did not have fragrance . There was a table nearby that was not informed of the hidden terms and were surprised after their bill had arrived. I would not recommend this place at all.
