9/10Food was excellent. Lots of different vegetables and meat. Served on a hot plate so food stayed warm. Peach crumble to die for, n I don't like peaches. Compliments to the chef! We will be back. The restaurant itself was cold, so thank God for the hot food. Rosie

10/10Food was excellent. We had roast dinner, everything very tasty and a very good portion of meat, veg and roast potatoes. The dessert peach crumble absolutely to die for! All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Spotlessly clean and music just low enough so we could hear ourselves speak. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

3/10Waited 1 hour 30 minutes for bangers and mash. No music or anything so we waited in silence. We ordered apple crumble but received peach crumble. Waited a long time to be served drinks, overall very disappointed ~ this was our second visit because the first time was so good. Compliments to the chef the first time we came he was brill. Second time was terrible and has put me off returning.

8.5/10We had the Sunday roast. My son had the chicken and I had the beef. My beef was quite tough and came with a good selection of veg, broccoli, sweet potato, green beans roast potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding. The meal was a little bland and the potatoes were not fluffy. My son said the same as me and his chicken could have done with a bit more flavour. Service was very good and friendly and the place itself very welcoming. I would love to give this venue another try in the future if I thought the meal itself would be better.

10/10I had heard how good the roast dinners were and wanted to give one a try. I wasn't disappointed and it was delicious 😋 all freshly cooked. Would recommend and will definitely go back.

6.5/10The food was good and the waiter was very friendly but the service was very mediocre. We were not offered any more drinks or sweet or coffee. We had to ask for a drink and the menu. I would not recommend now.

9.5/10We were first time visitors using local reviews. The staff, service, food, and value did not disappoint. We were well served, with excellent advice on options for our gluten free coeliac guest. The Sunday roast was superb, as were the table's selection of Mains and Desserts. We'll return again soon. Booking advisable at peak times.

7.5/10The staff are super friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the food was under par. I had the burger which was nice but chewy, clearly frozen and not fresh. My partner had the Crab & Prawn Linguini, the crab was chewy and the prawns were over cooked, again I believe they were frozen. You can't justify £15 for a main with ingredients that are not fresh.. For comparison the Station Pub, Hither Green do a burger for £16, its exceptional, all their food is fresh.

7.5/10Went on a Sunday early afternoon and it wasn’t very busy. We sat outside and I had a lovely chicken roast and my partner had the salmon Nicoise. All very nice and good value for money. Only gripes would be one of the kids had tomato pasta which had a spicy sauce and it was quite noisy outside from the road noise. Restrooms were very clean and overall and very good experience and will be back.

9.5/10Gem of a place. Really nice ambience. Covered area at the front - ideal for a party or private gathering. They do theme nights too (Caribbean etc) that sound interesting! The burger was probably the best ever. The meat was superb. This place is definitely worth a visit. Didn’t try desserts as was so full. Saw the roast coming out and heard diners say it was out of this world!

6/10We went for a Sunday roast. The prices were drastically different from what was on the Fork menu online - £5 more, so nearly 50% more than we were expecting. The food was plentiful, lots of meat and vegetables, all were fine but a bit over cooked (except the parsnips which were so hard I couldn't even stick my fork in them). The Yorkshire puddings were tiny, clearly not homemade, and chewy. Very disappointed with the food but the staff were lovely. It looks like their Asian and Caribbean food nights might be more their specialty, so might try again then.

9.5/10I've been meaning to visit The Last Outpost for ages. We arrived a little early and it looked pretty much deserted (which is always a worry!) We need not have worried - we had Sunday roast with a bottle of delicious red. I had beef, my partner had the chicken. Both were very tasty, generous servings and delivered with friendly, polite service.
