Our lovely waiter. Very friendly without being unprofessional. He was extremely accommodating. I'm sorry I didn't take his name. We ate at 1.30pm 9th November. Thank you. Food was delicious 😋

4.5/10It’s such shame as this venue is lovely but they need to improve the service and table settings. There was no table clothes on the tables when choosing a glass of wine it was just brought to table already poured. At the prices you are charging would expect wine to be poured in front of guests. Tables were sticky to touch. Food was good however if you want to improve the ambience a set meal through the week would be good suggestions three course £14.95 smaller portions for cost effective. Need to advertise strongly to get peple through doors.

10/10Great find in Bridgend. Lovely round table close to open hearth fire. Visiting family and restaurant staff accommodated us all wonderfully, including a 2 year old child!

9/10Sunday lunch was high quality although I missed my roast parsnips. The beef fat potatoes were to die for& the large gravy boat was fabulous to mop up the yorky. Crisp ham starter was divine. The dining room is however missing something it’s a bit soulless some plants or flowers would really add something ❤️

10/10The garden was superb to sit in on a summer's day whilst we had drinks. The food was amazing as were the bar and restaurant staff. We dined a short while ago and that was amazing as well. Consistency is key in restaurants and Leicester's is that and more.

10/10We had a great experience in this restaurant. Food was so delicious. The mixture and combination of ingredients in every dish were so genius. The staff was very sensitive to our needs and wants. We wouldn’t have a good experience if not for him. Fantastic choice of bossa nova background music too. We’ll definitely go back here. Best restaurant in Wales.

10/10On arrival the first thing we noticed was how cozy and warm it felt walking in and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was outstanding and our young waiter was fantastic. Can’t wait to go again.

8/10A pity that we were seated in the bar area rather than restaurant (appeared perhaps some refurbishment work ongoing). Presumably for the same reasons the menu choice was greatly reduced from the one we had looked at in our room. These things weren’t advertised when booking and probably wouldn’t have eaten here had we known. Food we had was good quality and presentation with a price point to match. Little canapés and bread were nice touches. Mixed experience

8/10Great little restaurant. We’ve been coming for several years now and the food is always top drawer. Only thing was our table was double booked so some confusion as to where we would be eating as the waitress told us we may have to eat in the bar area which wasn’t ideal but the manageress apologised, sat us in the restaurant and took a round of drinks off the bill which was a nice gesture. Food again was excellent though and brilliant value.

10/10Delicious Sunday lunch with lots of lovely touches to make the meal really special. Excellent service and a beautiful restaurant, great ambience helped by a lovely log fire burning in a large hearth. Will definitely go again

7.5/10The photograph of the C16 building from outside promises so much, unfortunately the ambience, decor and feel is not reflected in the reading experience. The food was very good but the restaurant lacked a good vibe, needs a designers eye to be passed over the interior... Shame.....promised so much didn't deliver...sadly

8/10Food was really tasty. Had the beef which was excellent. as was the cauliflower cheese. The only small issue was that the plates were not warmed which meant the food went cold quickly. Otherwise would highly recommend.

9/10Food was excellent, fitting of the 2AA Rosettes, staff were very welcoming, pleasant and hardworking, difficult to rate the ambiance because a private party was in the usual dining room so we were in an upstairs room, still acceptable with a very warm fire, but I would say not as convenient as being downstairs in the restaurant

4.5/10Went for Sunday lunch. Started out well, nice welcome and shown to table - 1st issue - wrong order provided, dish taken away to be rectified with vegetables I had already put on plate - new dish arrived correct order but didn’t offer more vegetables to replace ones I had already put on plate - eat what was left from original dish of vegetables provided. 2nd and biggest issue food was barely warm, just eat it as didn’t want to wait again - when servers came round to ask how was own food we said about issues and they did apologise. No complaints over dessert it was yummy - when paid no offers of discount due to issues just apologies - will not be going again

6.5/10Excellent service, but unfortunately dull atmosphere. Disappointingly small lunch set menu - a la carte not much better. No inspiring vegetarian options, but the chef did prepare an excellent meal off menu for my wife. The place needs sprucing and livening up and a more extensive menu in our opinion. The staff were very accommodating though

10/10What a find! Amazing food with high quality ingredients executed very well. We loved every course and the staff were all really friendly. We will definitely return. The decor in some areas (such as the toilets) is a little over powering but the food and service were great.
