10/10Over the last week I have visited Lings on Kings twice. The first was for a wedding function and the second was for dinner. Both times I attended Lings on Kings the food (banquet was soo tasty) service and entertainment was outstanding and I will definitely be going back when in the UK. Ling was an amazing host who made sure everyone was enjoying themselves, I can see why they had recently received a trip advisor award because the restaurant was amazing. If you get the chance please go to Lings on Kings - I highly recommend it.

10/10We found this lovely little restaurant last year. We have since travelled back to Southport from Staffordshire 4 times and always have one meal here on our visit. We now have our close friends loving the food and restaurant as much as we do. Never lets us down with food or service. 5 stars all the way.

5/10We booked our table for 5.30, but found the service slow and we were concerned that we might be late for our theatre start time. In fairness to the staff after we pointed out that we might be late the service improved greatly and we finished our meal in good time. We all thought the food could have been better, what we had was very salty and sweet. Perhaps we didn't choose well. We all feel that we won't be visiting Lings on Kings again.

Hello Chris Brooks, thank you for your feedback. As you are aware at the time of your visit, the restaurant was extremely busy, busier than usual. We apologise for your waiting as we do not like to rush people but once we were made aware of your theatre booking we prioritised your table. We would have done this from the start if we had known. We are disappointed that some of the food you found to be either too salty or sweet for your liking. Everyone’s pallet is different and unless we are made aware of any preference it is impossible to please everyone. When asked if everything was ok you did not inform us of any issues except your pending theatre booking. We do hope to do better for you next time as we do always try our best for our customers.. 10/10First time at Lings but won't be the last! It was quiet but they had only just opened so to be expected. Food was tasty and hot, reasonably priced and couldn't fault the service. Worth a visit if you are in the area

10/10We found this restaurant last year during an overnight stay in Southport. We came back in October for my birthday meal. Our friends decided to have a little weekend break with us so we booked via the fork app a few weeks ago and they absolutely loved the restaurant and food. We travel from Leek in Staffordshire to eat here and needless to say we will keep doing so.

Basically non dimming lights had been installed on a light circuit fitted with a dimmer switch. Sorry this happened and spoiled the ambiance at the time of your visit. 10/10Excellent evening once again with 2 friends. Had a banquet of 5 courses for less than £20 per head. Fantastic food especially the spare ribs best I have ever tasted. What are you waiting for give them a ring and book your table for a great night out.

10/10I came here for a meal with my family for a special birthday. The service was very good as staff were very attentive. The food was very fresh and tasty and there was plenty of it, I couldn’t fault the service or the food. I would highly recommend here and I really enjoyed it and so did my family, thank you.

10/10We went to Lings to celebrate our 46th Wedding Anniversary. We have been going there for many years and still think it's the best Chinese in Southport. The food is fantastic, lovely friendly atmosphere. We would recommend Lings 100% to anyone.

5/10Food was too salty, not much flavour. Query as to weather pork was pork or lamb was lamb and not beef. Please do not ask for coffee as you will just get hot water and milk! Recommended by a friend, quantity of food portions is over faced and covers up quality that should be there that is not

2.5/10Absolutely disgusting food, service was good! Presentation 0/10 Looked like a plate of slop! I Don't know who gas written the reviews saying it's excellent, brilliant find, gorgeous food!! Be honest people it's damn awful! Worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life! We complained about my chicken and pineapple as it looked and tasted disgusting so they took the price of that off our bill my husband had sweet and sour chicken which he never ate either but we were charged for that our starters and drinks! £30 damn for absolute crap! We were offered free dessert oh no thankyou!! It was just awful awful yuck!!
