6.5/10The food was good, though one main was unavailable (it was only 7:30) on a menu that was hardly extensive. But service wasn’t great. We sat for 10 minutes without menu or drinks list, drinks turned up after the food etc. It shouldn’t be that tricky…

10/10Unfortunately it was not the lock and quay restaurant that I usually go to at Christmas. I live in London. Somehow I managed to book the one in Bournemouth. There was no way I would get there in the mid week even at Christmas. Sorry for the mistake

4.5/10Terrible experience as could not speak with partner across small table as restaurant was far too noisy. On prime time Saturday evening date night we found the restaurant also being used to host a birthday party at the inconvenience of everyone else who was hoping for a nice meal and conversation with their partner. As time went on and more party guests arrived the noise level became more unbearable. Also the fries served with the nice steak were the most awful fries I have ever had as were drowned in salt. Had to send them back but were promptly replaced by the waitress, who was trying her best on the night. Perhaps in future the restaurant can warn non-party members that a birthday party is being held so that can make an informed decision as to whether they want to eat there whilst a party is being held around them? I have been to Loch & Quay several times before and had always previously had a much experience so was such a shame the experience was ruined this time.

7/10Fathers day lunch. Good booking experience. Nice very clean, and well presented restaurant. Good staff and service. My son had the lamb which was superb. my daughter and I both had the roast Sirloin, which unfortunately was a little tough/chewie. A tad overpriced but thats England currently. Saying that we/I would definitely return. overall would recommend.

6.5/10Staff were very welcoming however I had lamb and it wasn't my favourite as it was shredded and made into a kind of patty. Never had lamb like that before. Also, although the saxophonist was great, it was too loud. We ended up shouting at each other and other diners gave us dirty looks. We were just trying to have a conversation.

9.5/10Great Sunday Roast, we all had the beef. Part way through we had some live music which was soft enough in the background not to disturb too much but could have been a touch quieter. Service was good and staff very friendly.

7/10This was our second visit on a Thursday evening as a ladies get together. We were the only people in the restaurant. The food was cooked nicely but didn’t appreciate the 10% service charge automatically added to the bill

7/10Every time I have visited the service and attentiveness has been very good. The food has been really good. On this occasion we felt a little bit ignored and underwhelmed by the whole experience. Staff not very eager to chat or check in with us. Never noticed or said goodbye when we left.
