10/10Food was excellent. So well thought out. Pickled trout with blood orange and 3 different bits of fennel - cress, seed and pollen. So tasty. Restaurant nicely decorated too. Good service. Suggested wines went very well with food choices.

9.5/10The memu is full of summer falvor freshness wwhihc is light and savory. The fish is cooked to perfection though the shiny reflection ray from the cars outside back into the restaurant is glaring and uncomfortable.

9.5/10This was our first visit and it won’t be our last. We were greeted at the door when we walked in with a smile and a nice welcome. All the waitresses were very knowledgeable about the food and made our visit very enjoyable. We opted for the taste menu and the food didn’t disappoint as it was so tasty and just kept on coming. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

10/10Delightful meal, setting and service. Unusual combinations, but they worked. We ate a la carte and enjoyed each course; the complimentary bread, butter and beignets were all lovely and a nice surprise. A group of 5 diners who thought they knew a lot about wines got a little verbose, but that’s not the fault of the restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal.

10/10Our celebratory meal was outstanding. The venue is very tasteful in decor and comfort. Service was excellent. we were never hurried between courses and this made the evening more enjoyable and relaxing. The FOOD was amazing, every course was delicious. Thank you for an excellent evening.

10/10This was our first meal at Lovage, we ordered from the Market Menu. My partner opted for the steak, I chose the stone bass. We both agreed that what we ate was beyond excellent. The portion sizes were appropriate for lunchtime eating and the cost was commensurate with its quality.. The service we received was friendly, polite and efficient and we were made feel special as we were served by Lee himself. Everything about Lovage contrived to make our meal a special occasion. We will be coming back.

10/10Outstanding in every way, shape and form and worthy of its Michelin status. Excellent value, alongside varied tasting, a la carte and market menus, ensure all manner of personal tastes are catered for. Relaxed, informal yet highly professional service which is head and shoulders above some of our more pretentious restaurants. This is our third visit and Lee, alongside his dedicated team, always deliver. Thank you once again for a memorable afternoon.

10/10Excellent polite and friendly service, the speed of service was perfect, we had the 5 course taster menu followed by coffee and cheese and biscuits in less than 2hrs, the food was creative and very high quality. If you want big portions of chips and a burger go elsewhere. The atmosphere was refined and very comfortable chairs.

10/10A dinner for my wife’s birthday whilst visiting Derbyshire. it was first class, the front of house team were fantastic and the food delicious. The combination of flavours were amazing and the Taster Menu was definitely the way to go, well worth it. It was a very tasteful and sophisticated restaurant without being overly fussy, making it very comfortable. Would most definitely visit again!

7/10I was looking forward to eating here after all the reviews but felt disappointed with the experience. We had the taster menu. Good quality food but we were not overwhelmed by taste. Portion sizes were small relative to price. We were looked after well by the staff.

7.5/10The food was good with nice breads and accompaniments and the steak was much better than anything you could get at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. There was a little bit of theatre to the service and there was a good wine list but you could get virtually the same down the road for half the price.
