Really great food! They just need to be a bit more proud. I was dying to say how great it was, but nobody asked us when we were leavîg. Very original and delicious food!

A short, unusual set menu is offered; portions small but beautifully cooked, presented and tasty. Sadly a major drawback to Magenta is the price of house wine; at almost £40 a bottle this is well above the cost of even the most expensive wine at equivalent restaurants.

The chefs menu was delicious and different than anything we’d tried before. The restaurant decor was very tasteful and high end. Above all else the service was amazing - the staff were so friendly and accommodating

Excellent food and service . But surprised it was so quiet . Maybe more of an evening destination than a wet Tuesday lunch one !

Perfect service. A bit more of food would make this place excellent with a 10/10 but I give 9.5.

We tried the Michelin chef menù and it was outstanding from first to the last course. We can't wait to coming back again.

Excellent find. The restaurant was relaxed and the food was so good. The souffle was excellent and the service and speed of each course were timed exactly. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be coming again soon.

There are the makings of a good restaurant here.. had the chef's menu (6 courses for £65), and there were some outstanding components - the tuna tartare above the weirdly flavoured tuna carpaccio, the lamb "rack" that was a single rib of lamb and tiny (but delicious), and the apricot soufflé with biscotti ice cream was gorgeous. However, as you can tell from the above, there were many flaws: the layout and design of the restaurant was odd, with tacky butterflies in a stripped back NYC warehouse style setup, chrome tables, mirrors and cutouts, and sweet jars all over one wall. With the food, the charcoal bread was teeth-breaking, the tuna carpaccio oddly flavoured, the lamb main was small and lacking in any carbs (needed potatoes), and the smoked goats cheese was disgusting. A mixed bag...!

The food was amazing, I couldn’t finish the last dessert as I was full. Staff was amazing and constantly checked if I needed anything.

Really wanted to love this as the menu looked great, as did the atmosphere on arrival. However the portions are pretty small especially for the price (the sea bass in particular was tiny for nearly £30 with no sides). The flavours also weren’t as deep or well developed as expected based on the menu descriptions: they seemed to focus more on aesthetics and a dramatic serving experience. Dessert was lovely though.

Wow, every dish from starter, main course and dessert was meticulously prepared and presented, and each with exquisite taste. Service was attentive, courteous and unobtrusive. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and backed by classy music. This is definitely a highly recommended restaurant for an unpretentious romantic date!

Elegant food with beautiful wine pairings on the tasting menu; flawless attention to detail on ingredients and flavour profile to elevate classical dishes.

Set menu was good. Service was excellent. The place looked dated and there were very few people in the restaurant on a Friday night.

We booked through The Fork and had the tasting menu for my husband’s birthday. This was great value for money and lovely with a bottle of valpolicella allegrini. Our server was friendly and very helpful, enabling my husband to swap out one of the courses as he doesn’t each fish. Would highly recommend.

Lovely stylish venue just across the road from Kings Cross/St. Pancras stations. Inventive and interesting food - I had the Chef's Menu (£65) with the matching wine selection (£45) which was very good value - Franciacorta, Barbaresco included, plus Etna Bianco, Ribolla and Vin Santo. Friendly and attentive service, especially from the young Calabrian waitress who spoke very knowledgeably in excellent English. Will be returning soon.

As the starters and last dessert (the 2nd one) were really great, the main dish and the 1st dessert were simply enhance the negative side of impressions. The main dish for us were Lamb, but these were not tender enough. Also the sauce for this was bitter, hence overall balances in the mouth were broken. The first dessert was to be the clean-up of the mouth with fully covered by the fat of lamb and the sauce. if so, why not using a fruit slice or fruits jelly? this cheese case was just enhancing the fatty remaining in the mouth after the main course.
