First visit to this restaurant and we were not disappointed food and service were excellent. Getting a discount on the a la carte menu was an unexpected bonus.

After an extremely delightful welcome and helpful approach to my wife's allergy (Coelaic), I was looking forward to a nice meal. However we both found the service came across as a burden the longer we were in the restaurant. I personally felt that as soon as we showed an interest in the 2 course deal that we were treated like "2nd class citizens". However the food was very good and tasty, which was slightly ruined by the lackadaisical service. Not trying to be rude, we commented on how we thought the Rabbit dish may be improved and asked if our comment could be passed on to the chef... This was met again with a face that told us that the chef will never hear our comment. So overall a lovely meal in a very nice setting, but they service let the restaurant down, which is a shame.

Staff waiting at door to let us in. Asked if we’d booked and checked the reservation. Asked us where we would like to sit, shown us to our table upstairs which was lovely. Took drinks order & brought complimentary bread with oil & balsamic. Order taken and food brought quickly. Asian beef strips to start were delicious. I also had ox cheeks for main & guest had sea bass, both really good. Limited choice of dessert from toffee pudding, key lime pie or cheeses. We picked cheeses which came with four oat biscuits & 3 pieces of cheese. Great little place & good value

It is a little French / Marroquin jewel located in the heart of Edinburgh's Victoria Street and the food won't disappoint you. I had spicy calamari to start with, followed by a lovely seafood Bouillabaisse ending with sticky toffee pud. Almost couldn't finish my 3-course meal. Definitely recommend.

Really wish such a place existed in Sheffield. Edinburgh folks are so lucky. French cuisine with an Algerian twist when we went and truly, amazingly genuine food.

The food is always fantastic here. I had one request, that they only gave me a small portion for my main course. I have had surgery only a couple of weeks ago and simply can’t eat a lot . This didn’t happen. I asked the waitress and she told me that she had asked the kitchen and they had ignored . I know it seems irrelevant. I could leave what I couldn’t eat, I had too. For me it ruined the evening.A simple request . As I’ve said I can’t fault the food. Would highly recommend, just a lack of detail and attention for me .

Staff were friendly and helpful. At times when busy a little slow but that is completely understandable. Food was absolutely amazing, as always. Such a warm, welcoming place, I love it.

This is a lovely restaurant - the team made us very welcome and ensured we had a great meal and enjoyed our time here. The selection of dishes suited us all and we felt very welcome here - if you visit leave room for desert as they are very tasty!

We had a lovely evening. The staff were welcoming and efficient- without making us feel rushed. The food was excellent- we thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. We couldn’t manage a dessert - perhaps next time. We will return. Thank you.
