From the outside, the restaurant looks beautiful, and the entrance is welcoming. Upon entering, only about a quarter of the tables were occupied. However, we were still asked to wait in the bar until a table became available. Somewhat surprised, we headed to the bar. The bar was also only a quarter full, yet it took a while before a staff member came to serve us. We ordered two cocktails, but they were unable to make them because, according to the staff, the glasses were dirty. Instead, we were offered wine, which was fine to drink. Later, we were politely escorted to one of the many empty tables. The menu didn’t seem particularly special, but there were enough choices. When the food arrived, it was neither exceptional nor particularly well-prepared. We decided to have just a main course and leave quickly in search of a place with a better atmosphere and more attentive service. It seems like they have a serious staffing issue—proper training is definitely needed.

Review We are both pensioners but when my wife I arrange to go out for dinner she’s like most women, still spends a few days getting ready, tan, nails, hair, eyebrows, new dress etc lol Anyway, we booked a table in the restaurant at Malmaison but when we arrived they seated us in the lounge bar for dinner, if we had wanted to have dinner in a lounge bar we could have booked a table in any pub in Belfast. Now the food was lovely but at £143.00 we would have much preferred to be seated in a nice restaurant rather than the lounge. Then they wanted the table back within a timescale. I’m not sure if we’d go back?

We went here for some food after my son's graduation in Waterfront Hall. Nice ambience. Though there was activity, it was relatively quiet, as I like it, and relaxing. Food was excellent. Service was good. Thank you for a pleasant evening!

the waitress who was working by her self behind the bar and serving tables was realy nice she was amazing funny very polite and she did great job describing the food to us
