10/10Absolutely amazing! The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. We booked our dinner for Thursday, so we were able to get discount on our dinner! Definitely will recommend to friends

10/10Ambiance was nice. We sit on the bar first cocktails were delicious. Then we passed to the restaurant part. Staff was kind, food was delicious. It is not Michelin star restaurant do not expect that kind of experience.

5/10After arriving, we waited for 45 minutes before we went to ask if someone could take our order for food and drinks. After waiting another 40 minutes for our drinks to arrive we went to the till to ask where they were. The waitress informed us that she would sort it. 15 minutes later (after enquiring again) the wine arrived. After a further 30 minutes the food arrived. At no point did any staff enquire if we were satisfied with the food/service. After finishing our meal, the plates were not cleared. We were asked if we wanted complimentary desserts at which point we declined and proceeded to pay the bill minus the wine.

6.5/10Nice food, average service but why is the hotel so dark everywhere? Bedrooms, reception, bar and grill so depressingly unlit. I had to use my iPhone torch on occasion!

8.5/10Nice place. Very nice food but very pricey. Not sure our 1kg steak was 1kg as we only got 8 slices.

9.5/10Nice restaurant overlooking the water. Food was excellent and good value. The service was also excellent, very polite and professional. I will definitely go back and would recommend it to friends and family to give it a try when in Liverpool

9.5/10food and service was excellent, best burger I have ever had and the flat iron steak was delicious too. bit on the pricey side with a bottle of wine and meal for 2 coming at just on £100! 2 service charges added separately for food and drinks it was just a spare of the moment meal no special occasion...

5.5/10Mid- week dining experience, it was a bit noisy as part of the restaurant was designated for a large group of people. Service and food was OK, not the best place, I would not go back there.

2/10There was an office party on so we couldn’t hear each other. We were sat at the bar on a lounge area and the couches are too low. Menu is very limited. Not a proper restaurant as advertised. We left before ordering.

10/10The food at Malmaison was superb. The lighting and decor are perfect for a romantic meal. We were very well looked after by Matt and he was friendly and efficient. Really looking forward to returning. Highly recommended.

When we got there I admit we was 15 or so minutes early but we waited 5-10 longer from when we arrived. We got given a table for 4 people and yet there was 2 of us. Once the food arrived (which we waited a while for) mine came out quite well so there is something positive from that but my GF's food was burnt, both the starter and main. Not many waiters/waitresses came to ask if we needed another drink, I would give the benefit of the doubt if it was quite busy but it was quiet that day. Overall the experience wasn't terrible by all means but it certainly wasn't perfect, I hope the next time if there is one there will be improvements.

8.5/10The food was stunning. Extremely high quality. However, the service was slack sadly. We still paid the service charge as it was right for the quality of the food. However the waiting service was slow, it took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive which was baffling as there was only one other couple in the restaurant at the time. No steak knife was brought as part of the steak dish, I had to find a member of the waiting team to ask for this to be provided, there was nobody visible to check if we were ok. The general attitude of the waiting staff needs improvement if the service charge is to be added to all bills. I don’t know whether it’s complacency as it’s a hotel restaurant. We weren’t hotel guests and it felt like the front of house could do with some improvement

9.5/10Stylish venue near the Liver building (though not easy to find free parking even after dark). Late Sunday lunch including a glass of prosecco was £25 for two very generous courses: cured salmon followed by ballotine of turkey which came with dish of assorted vegetables which I couldn't finish. No room for any of the tempting-looking sweets (£5 extra). Efficient service. Wide variety of quality wines by the glass. Would happily return when in the area.
