10/10Relaxed atmosphere, we were allowed to enjoy our afternoon and make the most of it without being rushed out. Excellent sweet and savoury options were lovely and just the right amount of service - thoroughly enjoyed it thank you

6/10The food was very nice. Also the selection of teas available was very good. Sadly the lack of service let this otherwise pleasant experience down. I personally had to leave my table to locate a member of staff and ask who I needed to speak to for more tea. A manager said one of their colleagues would come over. This still took a while. There was a myriad of different servers which again spoiled the experience. Considering the high standard of hotel that the Strand Palace is I was shocked at the lack of service myself and daughter received. Then came the bill with £10.75 service charge. Which I could have said I was not going to pay but as I did not want to embarrass myself or daughter as this was a treat for her I paid it. I would not recommend to others due to our experience.

9/10it was a lovely start to our day, as we followed it by Mamma Mia the show. it was a special celebration so it made even more special. there could of been more savoury selections of sandwiches etc as I do think it was lacking savoury, loads of sweet things though.

6.5/10+1The Idea of Mamma Mia afternoon tea was great. Food and tea was lovely. Many choices of tea. Could have improved the experience by playing Abba music in the restaurant. 10 pound service fee was ridiculous.

5.5/10The lighting is a bit over the top, staff gets blinded by the ceiling lights, reflecting in the wall mirrors, irritating, sorry. I am used to get the dishes explained very well. All food came at once and sorry it was very cold (like out of the fridge) taste, it wasn’t a pleasant taste therefore and the savoury pastry was like out of the box to the plate. It was a appropriate price so I am ok with the performance, but wanted to share the points with room to improve.

8/10As others have remarked, the service is pretty appalling. It shouldn’t take 45 minutes to an hour just to receive drinks. Even if the bar was backed up, we could have received the tea, which by nature, would continue to steep at the table anyway. The dining area was mostly empty when we arrived, so I was hopeful that we might get lucky and get quicker service than all the reviews mention. This was not the case. Even with an empty dining area, it still took nearly an hour before anything was brought to our table. I just barely made it to a matinee performance I had after the meal. Would strongly advise others to go elsewhere unless they have a solid 3-4 hours to spend waiting here. The food was ok, but the service isn’t worth it.

8/10Unfortunately this will be a very mixed review, firstly , the food was lovely ,very good selection & was nicely presented so full marks there, however the organisation of the whole thing was absolutely shocking. Out sitting was at 3pm , on arrival we were asked to sit in a waiting lounge until the room opened at 3pm, no problem there, we taken to our table & a waiter went through the menu & the choice of complementary drinks & left us to make our choice , however we waited half an hour for our drink order to be taken, we were told the cocktail was pink gin based but yet another waiter told the table next to us it was blueberry vodka, there was only one cocktail so who was right? We waited an hour & 20 mins for our food to arrive then a further 25 mins for the pots of tea after we chased it up. Upon leaving a waiter stood at the door apologising to everyone so clearly they were aware of an issue that out of courtesy we should have been informed of while waiting . Badly organised ☹️

10/10The tea parlour is tastefully decorated with music playing. The quality of the food was fantastic. To have a variety of savoury options is great, the chicken brioche bun and the goats cheese tartlet were delicious. The choice of cakes was exquisite. The attention to detail for each one was amazing, the black forest gateau was light and the chocolate mushroom on top a nice detail. The presentation of the food on the snowman stand is unique.

10/10Afternoons tea at the Strand Palace was a absolute delight.our server was so pleasant the tea service was nicely spaced and the foodcwas excellent. my wife is gluten free and they were able to accolade her with no drama. highly recommend!

2/10The music playing was house music- which we asked them to turn down. We were the only table for some time but struggled to get service (like fresh tea and the check). The food did not seem fresh for £190 for 3. Should have gone to the Savoy.

10/10It was my first afternoon tea, and I liked everything about it. They've nice options for savouries. Wish they had more teas, but nevertheless, their exclusive collection is beautiful as well. I loved the welcome drink it was a beautiful cocktail If you enjoy a hint of sweet cocktails.

4.5/10The ambience was lovely. If o my the food was at the same standard. I should have trusted the other reviews but wanted to give a fair shake. The savory portions were the best part but my scone was so hard when I attempted to cut into it is exploded into a bunch of crumbs that ended up in my hair and all over the table. The other desserts felt so prepackaged and flavorless that I only took a bite and didn't return to any of them.

4.5/10Afternoon tea with a friend. Portions weren't much and charging us so much for top up sandwiches, service was slow didn't even check if we needed anything. We had booked winter special Afternoon tea went there found out it was the standard Afternoon tea!

6.5/10It was fine. A tablecloth on the Formica table would have made it nicer. Not much attention from the staff - the food was placed on the table in a rush with no explanation of what was included. Everything was listed on a menu, but we saw staff who brought tea items to other tables go over each item with the customers. We have been to tea at other, London hotels which have all been incredible - this was less expensive, but not at all special. I would recommend the Savoy, Browns, Claridges, etc. Spend more money and get a wonderful experience - that is what having a leisurely high tea in London is all about.

8.5/10The staff were very helpful and accommodated us ahead of our scheduled booking. The place is very easy to find - very close to Convent tube station. Good selection of tea (we had the Covent garden blend) and the portions are enough to fill you up. The sweet treats are just too sweet for our liking.

4/10We waited an hour to be served even though we were the first sitting. Both child and adult food together on the stand, so you couldn’t tell. It was meant to be one per person there were quite missing: the only afternoon tea place I’ve been to that that doesn’t do refills and we have been quite a few in London
