Fabulous meal. Delicious steaks which cut like butter. The house wine was delicious too. I’ll definitely be returning!

Fantastic experience!! My husband and I came here on Saturday evening and from start to finish it was brilliant. Staff were so attentive and the surroundings were lovely. The food was excellent, most enjoyable!!

What an excellent place to have a meal. I booked the table as a surprise for my husbands birthday, once we had got sat down and looking at the menu, the waiter wished my husband a happy birthday and got us both a drink. The meal was amazing, the service brilliant and to finish off they brought my husband a selection of desserts also on the house. Couldn't fault anything. The waiter Mick Barni was lovely.

We had an excellent meal for two. The waiters were very attentive and professional. Although I agreed to it I do not like being told on the bill how much to tip! I appreciate this is optional but that means you have to tell the waiter to take the tip off the bill. Everything was good so I had already intended to give a substantial tip but the amount on the bill was more than I thought appropriate. I just think this is a presumptious somewhat arrogant way to do business. If things are right most people will tip what they think reasonable and what they can afford. It’s rude to dictate what the company thinks the tip should be.

The meat was perfect but side dishes - chips and onionrings very oily and the oil tast was intense - far too thick batter on the onionrings - my expectations were very high but I must admit I was a bit disapppointed, salad was very ordinary

Food and staff outstanding

Excellent value and the staff where very attentive.

We went at the weekend. Meal was terrific (fillet steak) and the staff were very friendly and helpful with wine suggestions. Would definitely recommend

Had a delicious steak - ribeye, seasoned and cooked expertly. Chips and obligatory onion rings - all cooked to perfection. Not many in the restaurant but waiting staff attentive and friendly. Enjoyed our evening.

Starter was excellent, I had the butternut squash soup. The main was poor, I had the cod and it was very soggy. I ordered a second drink which never came but was charged for it. Don’t like that you’re charged for water for the table without it being made clear it’s bottled water, an expensive one at that. The restaurant does look nice. Service is great.

Took my parents who were visiting for the Edinburgh festival. What a lovely meal, very attentitive staff and lovely, relaxed surroundings.

My sister and I came here to celebrate our birthdays, the food was amazing, the steaks cooked to perfection.

Great restaurant with good staff that was really helpful. We had a steak and it was great it melted in your mouth.

Lovely setting, portion sizes were much bigger than expected (too big for myself). Food was fantastic - scallops and back pudding to start, mac cheese with wild mushrooms - was not quite sure what to expect but was amazing! Outstanding value for money. Will definitely be back.
